Its no easy feat to beat Medvedev, and might I add most likley a prime Medvedev who has beaten all the top guys. For Nadal to comeback 2 sets down on an oppenent like this shows what a legend he is. Its truly remarkable.

Never been a Rafa fan. So I was rooting for Medvedev. Partly because I dont want Rafa to get ahead of Federer. But by the 4th set, I just didnt want Rafa to lose after coming back so courageously. And at the end it, I just have to admire this great athlete – his competitiveness, his unwavering spirit, and dedication to his sport. This is what sports is all about – breaking records and pushing each other to greatness. I am a fan now – never too late I guess. It is a pleasure to witness the era of the Three Greats and I wish for it to just continue for a wee bit longer.
I really hope Medvedev gets what he deserves from the crowd one day, he is an amazing player who fought incredibly well tonight, but in the end Rafa stood between Medvedev and and champions trophy. Heads up Medvedev, and like Nadal said, you’ll get many more slams to your name in many more years to come. Congrats Rafa for your 21st slam, an inspiration to all the players on tour and to all the fans around the world.
I love how the commentator says out loud, what I think about Nadal and his fans would too. He is an amazing human being, whom others would look up to and have hope. It’s just touching.

The match was in favour of Medvedev for most of the time & he kept putting pressure on Rafa. Whenever Rafa used to gain momentum, he used to find way to break it. But Rafa proved why he’s truly a legendary player & only such players can make a beautiful comeback & play such high quality tennis. Medvedev will surely become the legend soon. Rafa, coming back from being 2 sets down, facing 3 break points when he was 2-3 down in 3rd set, & win a 21st Grand Slam like this is truly incredible !! What a match !!

Watching Nadal’s gameplay always gives you a mini heart attack, if you’re supporting him, and especially in a Grand slam event…
These types of matches where everything is against you, where you are already lost physically and mentally the best Nadal comes out coming back from a match that had it very uphill, congratulations champion.
Congratulations to both players, they really put up a fight and esp Medvedev. The way the crowd has treated Medvedev this tournament has been appalling… and this is coming from an Aussie. Having watched his post match conferences, he seems like a kind and honest man. Yes he may let his emotions loose at times but can you blame him ? When you are getting booed at countlessly and the intense pressure of the game. Half the people hating on him, never watch any post match conference and really get to know the player. I am a Federer fan however this tournament had made me add him to one of my favourite. His time will come soon.

It’s sad that people have such an attitude towards Daniil. He really is one of the best and for some reason, the most underrated tennis player. Hopefully, one day people will stop making silly `booing`shouts and encourage him as he deserves.

After watching the match and this post match presentation, I have become a huge Medvedev fan. He is a champion and he definitely will be the best of his generation.
I switched off the tv after 2 sets seeing rafa will loose easily. Opened it 2 hours later and saw nadal still fighting for it. What a game, surely he is a #GOAT now 🤩

Su rival de hoy parecía tener mejores armas: mejor saque, falla menos, etc.
Nadal es increíble porque ante todo eso busca como sea una forma de ganar (estrategia, mentalidad ganadora, etc) y así equilibra sus desventajas y al final ha conseguido ganar…
