This guy is so clear ahead of the other guys that came after the Big3. Good for tennis, finally someone with real potential.

This guy is amazing, he makes everyone fall in love with his game and style. What a beautiful display of tennis, he can play every shot in the book close to perfection. Would love to see him keeping up this consistency in slams. I have found a new ATP favorite after Federer and Stan.
Want to see him play against Roger on grass and Medvedev on hard courts.

This was more like a Round 1 match 😳 … Carlos made Zverev looked like a wild card or a 150th ranked player 😀 … This is absolutely mind boggling…what an amazing talent …. Congrats Carlos 👏

Those drop shots are mental. It is almost impossible to play him when you combine those perfect drops with such a massive forehand. I mean the fact that he wins every single point directly off the drop or after setting it up with the drop already shows how mentally destructive it is for the other player

Alcaraz murdered Zverev. And for all the people saying Carlito was going to be tired from the last two days or too tired to play Rome, just look at this performance. His level just keeps going up and he always peaks in the finals in tournaments (Killing Ruud, Careno Busta, and Zverev handily)

Beyond every other young upcoming player, he’s the one who made the real step forward to greatness. In the last 12 months it’s absolutely insane the way he improved. Unstoppable . Hands up . And still remains very humble and respectful .

He has earned my respect and total support. May he always be focused on being the consumate sportsman on and off the court such as Nadal has been and still is. He is exciting for tennis. Thank you Carlos….all the best in Rome!

Once he gets himself a grand slam, it’s game over for everyone, the patience and poise of every rally to wait for that ball to completely obliterate is out of this world and the kid’s only 19! LET’S GO CARLITOS!!

Love the muted celebration when Zverev double faults, despite it handing him the championship. Not the first time I’ve seen him humble in the face of winning through opponents errors. On top of his talents, he has an amazing attitude.

Carlos Alcaraz has now cast that mystical aura around the tour, a halo that comes along with the very best of the best, and creates that huge psychological edge over the rest of the highly skilled lesser mortals. This happened when Federer emerged, when Nadal rose, when Novak transitioned to his stratospheric levels. This is the metaphysical dimension to the rarefied champion of champions, that takes care of half of their matches even before a serve has been made in the game.
At the tender age of nineteen, that awe-inspiring halo has been bestowed on this phenomenal talent. It is his to keep now, and if he can hold on to it, there is a decade waiting to be won over, and more.

Man, what a player Alcaraz is… already! Mind boggling to think he’s only just turned 19. The future AND the present of tennis. 🙌🙌

I love Alcaraz’s short grunts when he hits 100mph rockets 2:19. Sounds so satisfying and as soon as you hear it you know a winner is about to fly out.

Alcaraz was able to move around the court perfectly. He perfectly read Zverev’s intentions and scored mercilessly. Another fabulous feat in the career of Carlos 🙄👍🔥💪🇪🇸

The young master is teaching tennis . He’s great and no one will be able to keep up with him . He trains hard and puts in practice what he trains for . Amazing the way he keeps his cool . Bravo to his team as well .

It is so exciting to think that still he has room to improve!!! Serve (although that kick serve is really harmful) and too many unforced errors (not today, though) are the areas to improve for Carlitos, imo. If he gets those, cant think of anyone able to stop him dominate this decade

He’s the best young player I’ve seen in years. As an aussie, I am just so happy to see great talent emerging as it has been a bit quiet in that regard for some years. There are some very good young players around but few great talents. Alcaraz already has the best drop shot I have ever seen in fifty years of watching tennis. I love how he uses it with a serve and volley approach. He has so many options.

This ‘kid’ literally went from boy to man in matter of months. From pupil to master. There’s no Medvedev, Zverev or Tsitsipas joining this one man show. We may very well be witnessing the birth of the undisputed GOAT 20 years from now!

He beat Nadal and Novak, then he broke Zverev’s will. And he’s only 19. The kid has the trajectory of an all time great

Wow, very well done. On this tour he only had very hard match with Novak, all other players looked like little kids against him. He will be the great star. 👍👌
