No one will ever come even remotely close to Rafa’s record on clay. To say that he’s amazing is an understatement.

After hearing that he had injection on his foot to numb the pain throughout the tournament, it made this win even more unbelievable and even more special for Nadal. If he doesn’t solve the pain problem with his foot, I feel like Nadal could retire next year. I hope not. I hope he comes back to win number 15.

Defying all odds of age, pain, Muller-Weiss disease, this man is an absolute beast…hats off!! So privileged to be born in a generation to see Rafa play. Apart from all the history, this is the first time Rafa won French open after winning Australian Open in the same year. Rafael Nadal is undoubtedly the GOAT!!!

I admire Rafa’s recovery ability from foot hurt and rib infringement. A very special French open, copied from 2020.

Rafa Nadal has an unbelievable record on the Paris Clay. Surely his record, 14 singles titles and counting is one that will never be beaten.

There’s a reason Rafa is an unparalleled legend on clay. This is simply a masterclass performance, even at this stage of his illustrious career (and after injury)… wearing down his opponent relentlessly game after game, never forcing his shots. 6-3 6-3 6-0 in the final… simply unbelievable. 💯

During the start of the tournament, I always had doubts about Rafa winning this title. All the eyes were either on Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic towards winning this tournament as they were the favorites to win this title, this year . I never expected Rafa would even reach the final of this tournament not because of the fact that he didn’t win a single clay court tournament (since he already did that in 2020 where he won the French Open without battling a single Clay Court tournament) but because of the prior injuries with his ribs & his foot which kept bothering him. I can still remember the way he lost one match when he was battling a severe pain on his foot.

Even during every press conference, he used to say that this can be his last match at Roland Garros. He had a hard fought match against Felix in the 4th round. His win against Djokovic in QF was also incredible & unexpected as he was not 100% throughout the tournament. He had to battle 4 top-10 players to win the tournament.

He also put a bombshell in the press conference 2 days before the final that he would prefer to lose the final for his foot & maybe because he’s playing the final against his pupil. That comment had upset me for 2 days.

Nevertheless, with this level of performance, he shut the mouth of all his critics & showed as to why he’s the King of Clay & why this court is his yard. The most arduous Grand Slam in tennis is French Open & he has won it for the record 14 times. Winning 14 Grand Slam titles is itself nearly impossible as very few people have done that. That’s absolutely phenomenal !! Nobody can match it for sure.

I hope he recovers soon & keeps continuing with this level of winning for many more years & without any doubt the court of Phillip Chartrier should be named after Rafa for his incredible feat of achievements at this court.

We are in the midst of sport history. I am thankful to witness this monumental achievement in sport. A true legend and a humble champion for the ages. The true G.O.A.T or at least top 3 all time .

Sometime in the future, when Rafa is called upon to present trophy to the future champions, imagine how long the video played on the big screen will be, commemorating his legacy.

Somehow, Rafa keeps redifining the meaning of greatness. This guy has no limits in his aspirations. Even if this is his last match as a professional player, every tennis fan should be happy to have witnessed 20 years of an astonishing career.

I remember the old days when Rafa’s backhand shot was seen as his weakness. Now it becomes one of his biggest weapons. The willingness to adapt and reinvent himself is what makes Rafa an all time great

Far above and beyond. Keep winning champ, you’re the true warrior. We’ll never see anything like this in tennis. Records rewritten.

It is just crazy that Pete Sampras is the highest GS winner after the big 3
And now Nadal has the same number of RG as Sampras’ GS!
Just phenomenadal!

Amazing Rafa!
By the way, I think if Ruud is in the other side of the draw, with Djokovic, Alcaraz, Nadal, Zverev… he wouldn’t have even reached the semi-finals. Quite strange to have most of the best players in one side. Actually Nadal won the tournament after winning four top10 players. Ruud played only one, in the final, and he lost 3-0.

Grande Rafa desde mi niñez él y Federer eran mis ídolos no solo en las canchas sino en toda la vida. Ejemplo de superación al 100% demostrando que no existe edad para hacer lo que uno ama y nunca rendirse a pesar de las dificultades

What an incredible player! This year he flattened his groundstrokes to win the AO and then reverted to his claycourt game to win the FO. If his foot stays healthy he will do well at the big W. He definitely has the game for it.
