Unbelievable serving by Kyrgios and Hurkacz. 57 aces in this game, 27 by Hurkacz and 30 by Nick. Even more incredible Hurkacz only had 1 double fault.

Great match between Hurkacz and Kyrgios! I’m glad Hubi won, but I must say Nick played really well today and overall at this year’s Halle tournament. Today Nick’s attitude was really cool also. I hope we will see this version of Kyrgios more often because he’s very skillful player and ‘badass’ but very likeable guy. Now Hubi let’s go for the title!

Sad for Otte, the first set could’ve gone his way, but he struggled to play in front of the score.
You can tell from that handshake that Kyrgios admires the Pole and probably has a lot of respect for the way Hurkacz calmly goes about his business.

“This version of Kyrgios will contend for majors” … something that has been said a thousand times since 2014. Doubtful but perhaps this is the time he finally puts it together.
