Sinner simply played a better game, a better strategy and better shots overall. Impressive performance.
Sinner’s lateral movement, all-court movement and calm demeanor coupled with wonderful sportsmanship is a beauty to the sport.
As good as Alcaraz is, he was just outplayed today by Sinner’s serve return, consistency, passing shots and speed in chasing down drop shots. Sinner really exposed weaknesses in Alcaraz’s game like no other player for quite some time.
Both great players, absolute athletes. Sinner has had his momentum interrupted this season with injury so let’s hope he can avoid injury and continue towards his full potential.
Sinner’ consistently retuning his shot to the opponent’s baseline with a low bounce was pure magic! It is a rather unique shot and one that Alcaraz had no response to. Congratulations Jannik on an inspiring victory.
Sinner great talent. He is a beast.
Although Alcaraz is a phenomenal athlete and great talent, Sinner has more clean shots which outplayed Alcaraz. It will be great to see future competitions between these two
Impressive performance by Sinner who did not win a single grass match before this Wimbledon’s edition! The fact that he outplayed Alcaraz today, while in their last matches had been almost the opposite, translates in a great future for us, with two competitive rising stars that will entertain the public for a long time. Sinner today was crazy, especially if considering how low his percentage with first serves was, which need to be improved. Well done, Jannik!
The rivalry between these 2 in the future will be amazing 🔥 impressive performance by Sinner he completely outplayed Alcaraz and destroyed him 1st and 4th set ( both are newbies on grass so there are no excuses). There are already glimpses that they are destined to be all round/all court players
My boy Sinner finally unleashing his talent. What a beast
Both are likeable players with outstanding skill
The difference from yesterday. No arguing, all about playing tennis. Nothing but respect for each other. And both of them are youngsters. Such professionals. Beautiful to watch.
To beat Alcaraz, he needed more attack power than Alcaraz, and Sinner did it. Sinner hits a clean and beautiful ball. And he’s classy.
This feels like new era of rivalry. Just like Federer-Nadal-Djokovic before them, just like Sampras-Agassi before them, just like Becker-Edberg before them,… I’m oversimplifying and not mentioning many great players, but these two seem like stars of tomorrow.
What a backhand Sinner has…
That response to the drop shot from Sinner at 0:47 🔥
Good to see these NextGen players performing well on grass
I have been praising Alcaraz and will continue to, but this performance from Sinner states that there will be many more great rivalries on the court between these two to look forward to. And not to forget Felix. How exciting for the new talent. Congratulations Sinner on a stunning performance.
Both young and matured, no drama no circus…. Congratulations Jannik 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 🎊
Sinner exposed Alcaraz weaknesses and that’s a good sign, these 2 can push each other to be better players like the big 3 did in the past 15 years
Blockbuster, this matchup will produce many classics in the future
I never doubt Sinner’s level, surely Alcaraz shining this year, but within their gen, there are many more tough matches to play with each other, in another words, audience would not be worrid to see top thrilling battles as this one. I genuinely hope more names come in to play in slam 32, 16 all to the finals.
Sinner and Alcaraz are a refreshing change from some of the other younger players who shall remain nameless. Respectful, polite and friendly, and no personal dramatics. Alcaraz seemed out of sorts today. Sinner on fire 🔥. Be nice to see these two in years ahead.
I just want the level of calmness jannik has in my life
