Im a sucker for yoshis leftie spin heavy groundstrokes, despite being a heavy underdog in the final, you have to admire the fight he will bring

Kyrgios is playing unbelievably good and these wins are surely boosting his confidence, if he wins the title it will be a big help for the 2 upcoming masters and the USO 🔥

Getting to the Wimbledon final but losing was the best thing that happened to Kyrgios. Gave him confidence and drive to achieve more

In Japan, many people says that Japanese tennis is done because Japan’s ace Nishikori has been dropping his rankings due to injuries.
But,Nishioka proved it wrong by reaching a 500 tour final defeating rublev. Congrats Nishioka! Well done!

Rublev seems like a completely different player than he used to be.He is no longer playing like a top player .On the other hand ,nishioka has been consistently playing well through the challengers and it’s about time he levels up

I don’t even remember the last time I’ve seen rublev smile. Even when he wins he seems frustrated. Just hope he’s doing ok

This is a perfect situation to explain why problem solving skills are so important in tennis. Rublev has been hitting the ball sweetly all week, one day he is off colour he couldn’t get himself to change his game plan (at least until he got his rhythm back). Had he done that he could have given himself a great opportunity to win this match. Also this is the reason Big 3 have won so much. As Nadal recently mentioned they have found ways to win matches from many losing situations!

Nishioka’s defense from the baseline has been crazy this tournament would love to see him get a title but Kyrgios might have a 65/35 upper hand in this one

Super win for Nishioka who has a wondeful game. Not much power but he has a all-around game and plays very intelligently on the tennis court !
That’s one thing you cannot say about Rublev : yes h’es very powerful, hits the ball very hard, but what else ? He’s just a hitting machine with no variations at all in his game. You can see he was not in a good day, so in this case, you have to go to plan B, which obviously he has not ! Unable to change things, to modulate his game, go to the net, get some slices, he just has one game and is then very limited.
I said after French Open his ranking would drop very rapidly if he does not make his game progress…

Rublev has a lot of energy, but he wastes it stupidly and with a lack of focus
He needs a smart coach

Rublev did not use his mind solving this very crucial game. He has no reservations. All he wants to do is strike the ball so strongly and that’s his mindset always. He should adopt calmness when that crucial happens and strike the ball not so strongly but lots of topspin so that he will have no unforced error. I guess he cannot win A Grand Slam if he still continues what his doing now 😔

I am happy that Nick has started realizing his enormous potential lately. It is a winning situation for everybody involved, tennis needs an engaged and commited Kyrgios. One more step on Sunday.

Nishioka is on fire💥, what a surprise for me that he beat Rublev! Lets see how he goes against Kyrgios 💫 great tennis, lovely to watch 💚

If only Rublev knew how to control his emotions (mainly anger), he’d be a much better player I think. He has the shots, he just lets his emotions get in the way. I hope it comes with more maturity and experience because he is fantastic to watch!

I have to say I’m amazed about Rublev’s performance… I thought he was a kind of machine who rarely had a bad day but Nishioka managed to make him play horrible. Probably one of the worst match Rublev’s played in a while.

Tough match but also showed his growth and composure. Nick has really improved his mindset. He still creates drama when he’s not playing well but not as much as before.
