The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2022 US Open saw Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Poland’s Iga Swiatek claim the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was both players’ first US Open title, with Alcaraz claiming his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek claiming her third Grand Slam title. The 2023 US Open is scheduled to go ahead between August 28 – September 10. Some amazing points. They should both be proud.
Ruud is the perfect example of a player who doesn’t have generational talent, but a mind of steel. At times he has played well, at times bad, but he is still there. Quietly moving forward. Last year he would win every ATP 250. This year he has reached one ATP 1000 final and one semifinal and two grand slam finals.
Amazing! Just ripping the ball, seasoned with incredible touch and drop shots!

It will be difficult for Rudd considering the agility and speed of Alcaraz, on technique both are at same level. Unless you have some tricks in pocket like federar, Alcaraz is not easily defeatable.
I don’t want to ever again hear from anyone “if Djokovic had played he would have won”. Carlos Alcaraz is the 2022 US Open champion fair and square, and nobody can argue with that.
