It takes bravery to speak out these things. Lots of people online only show the wins and good times when that paints an unrealistic picture and perpetuates the culture of being perfect every time when actually online it’seasy to edit out. I think the audience appreciates the highs and lows of your journey. All things worth having in life don’t come easy, otherwise everyone would have it.

Keep going iori. All the best. Gain momentum in your training. Stay focused. Stay a warrior. Allez

Don’t give up Iori! You’ve come a long way and you have gained so much support. I’ve been one of your biggest supporters. It’s normal to expect loses but sometimes it’s easy to say that “I’ll just do better” but in reality a lot of people find it hard. Thiem also has been losing tournaments and he hasn’t been winning any recently but he’s trying and trying. I’m proud of you Iori and I know you can do it, just hang in there and keep practicing hard! It’s not too late Iori!

Keep it going Iori. You’ll struggle, you’ll hate yourself, you’ll be thinking about different things, but that’s how you get to the summit. Every single one of the players on tour go through tough patches, and climb back up. The more you struggle, the higher you’ll reach.

You can do it man. This is the beauty and pain of tennis. Thats the mentality, you grow from losing more than winning, but you have to take the right attitude. In the end its just a game, and win or lose, you are more for trying hard and growing. Good luck man! Ajde

Love the insight Iori! Keep it up!! One thing you could do with your current racquet is put some weight on it if you haven’t already, to increase the weight and swingweight on your shots. This will make the racquet more stable, and you can hit heavier shots. You will also still have the control from your current racquet. Just a thought 🙂

Treat every loss as the greatest of lessons. It is your most important moments to make that next jump. If you don’t lose you don’t learn as much. Practice and match play are two different sports practically so play more matches you’ll be just fine. Great channel.

個人的には、「練習したことをしっかり試せれば、べつに負けてもいいや」っていうメンタリティが大事かなと思います。またワクワクさせてください、ガランゲ!!!!!

man we all lose when we think we shouldn’t…my last tournament I choked a 4-0 lead, still havent won a round in my life. Its made me very depressed before, but you gotta forget about it man, it is a game afterall, and you can only come back stronger

Lori, I really appreciate you sharing this, every tennis player goes through same emotions. I find what Moratoglou says in many of his videos helpful: do you want to lose playing the way you want or win playing a different style. Clearly you have made huge improvements since Austria, but you reverted back to old style of play before Austria in this match. You have to decide you want to play your way, the right way, win or lose. If I see that you are improving your game, I will be very excited for you, win or lose. Don’t give up!

I have followed you for a few years, your whole game has improved massively. It seems obvious to me why you lost the last match though. Two things from the video highlights…
1. It looks like you only hit slice backhands, you didn’t use your topspin backhand at all. Your backhand is now very consistent. You should use it when balanced, use the slice occasionally in defence or just to mix up play. He was too comfortable playing against your backhand slice.
2. He had an advantage on serve because of your injury. It meant he had a chance to win all of your service games.
In summary use your powerful shots on both sides. This will give you winners and unsettle and unbalance your opponent. Your serve will improve gradually and will become a weapon too.
Good luck. Keep working hard, you have the ability to be successful.
Best wishes from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Iori, I think in matches you should have the confidence to hit your backhand. It has obviously improved from your trainings abroad. I feel like you could have created more opportunities in the rally had you tried to dictate more with the backhand rather than slice.

You’re improving every day man! Even though you lost the match, I was impressed that you were able to shake of a 6-0 loss in set 1 and were able to be more competitive in the second set.

I also know that the injury is making it so that you can’t serve at full power, but you were able to win two matches without your usual serve. Don’t give up Iori! You’ve got fans around the world who believe in your dream!

Change technique Iori, forget about surgeries if it gets better over time. Also, this player you played is better than any player you played in Austria (except Thiem or Ofner ofc). I would have a balanced mentality of knowing it is not the end of the world of you lose but also not good so simply focus on the task at hand and play with your heart ❤️

3回戦の相手は試合巧者でしたね。伊織さんに足りないもの全て持っているなと感じました。悔しい気持ちを忘れずに何が本当に自分に足りなかったのか、負けた動画を見返してしっかり分析するといいと思います。応援してます!
