The fact that in the match with Medvedev, he could have tanked and entered the semifinals and finals completely fresh, but he played that match like it was a Grand Slam final and won, is 200% respectable. We have to take our hats off to this man once again, 35 years ladies and gentlemen and I still don’t see anyone beating him when he is playing his best tennis, a tennis monster and a true warrior on the court.. Nole is just a machine and with his mental strength/experience at 35 that is enough to win big titles. He might not be at his best physically but he is just too clutch. Played average the whole first set then stepped up a little bit and broke Ruud. That’s just insane and in AO he will be deadly 💀

I love redemption stories and this year has turned into one for Novak. After being vilified earlier this year with the whole Australian Open ordeal and not being allowed to play other tournaments, it is incredibly satisfying to see him holding the year end trophy and earning that fat paycheck. Kudos to him and I wish him the very best for the ’23 season. I hope he adds at least 2 more grand slam titles to his count next year.
Once again Djokovic proved why he is the GOAT of GOATs. No matter how exhausted and no matter how strong his opponent was, he still managed to win this tournament. What a Legend he is. Novak Djokovic truly is the Legend of Legends. He simply is in whole new level from anybody else. Novak Djokovic truly is unstoppable and invincible. He in this tournament proved that without any doubt. Finally Djokovic wins his 6th ATP tour Finals tittle. This is also his first ATP Finals tittle since 2015. What an amazing achievement for Djokovic. He in this tournament proved why he was the favorite to win the tittle. Djokovic never gave up. Even when it seemed that all hope for him winning this tournament has lost, he kept on believing in himself and his ability to win and it paid off for him big time. Novak Djokovic is truly absolute fighter. His mental fortitude is on whole different level. He truly is mental giant. He well deserves this tittle after everything he has gone through this season. Novak is the goat. This season has been unfair. If Wimbledon points were counted, he would have been seeded second
A rocky start of the year, but ends it with a perfect exclamation point, what a mental giant Djokovic is. Even the organizer’s unfavorable schedule that made him compete back-to-back to semi and final couldn’t stop Djokovic, while the other group (Nadal, Fritz, Rudd and AA) whoever made it had a day off going into semi and final.
