Strong first set from Dimitrov, excellent second set from Tsitsipas. Close third, good game.
it is fairly clear that tsitsipas has the higher level to win a match like this and dimitrov has the more elegant game for sure
but the one thing you can trust is that tsitsipas will let the game go to a third set and then have it be close till the end… the thing he is still lacking is that “finishing drive” that champions like Djokovich have…
from the highlights this match looks like it was quite interesting

That easy forehand miss at 0-0 in the tiebreak by Dimitrov tho, cost him the match. Dimi does this way too often unfortunately.

Love Tsitsipas. Love Robbie Koenig! I wish they showed the point at 5-4 in the tiebreaker cause Stef hit a monstrous gutsy forehand to go up 6-4, but hey. Love the battle of one-handed backhands, but also these two exchanged a lot of net play which was super fun to watch. I hope United Cup is here to stay.
