Very impressed by USA. Comprehensive wins by all the members. They all were laser focused and took care of business.
The US team is so good and likable! All their singles players are practically top 10 (I expect Big Foe to be there too in no time)! Jessie and Maddie were never gonna lose to the Italian girls in this tie! So the only way for the Italians to stand a chance was for Musetti and Berrettini to win their matches, which was always going to be difficult considering how well Taylor and Big Foe are playing.. well done USA! All of them are big favourites for the AO.. Jessie right behind 1ga, alongside Garcia, Sabalenka, Jabeur, Sakkari and Maddie (Keys cos she always plays well in Aus – fast, slick Australian hard courts go perfectly well with her game). I would love to see Fritz lift that AO title and Big Foe the USO one, but Djoko will be difficult to beat at the AO.. let’s see, should be a fun tournament 🙂 On the men’s side, I believe the players to beat are Djoko, Tsitsi, Fritz, Medvedev and Rafa (no matter how many times people write him off, he always comes back stronger and delivers his best at the slams).. Berrettini, Musetti, Big Foe and Korda will be in the mix too, and I’m still interested to see what Thiem and Stan can do, and though I can’t stand Zverev and Rune, if they find their solid performances, they could reach the 2nd week too, it will all depend on the draws, but should be a hell of a tournament! Shame Carlitos is not playing though.. good luck to all!

The entire team played amazing tennis. It’s good to see Madison playing well again. She has the strokes and the mindset to win a slam, I hope it happens for her.
I wish I had Pegula’s calmness and cool demeanor, she never seems to be overwelmed by emotions and can think straight in any situation. Congrats to team USA for the well deserved win

After watching most of he matches I’d say Pegula and Fritz are good bets for the AO. Very focused, very high level, very consistent.

I actually appreciate this events’ format because it’s proven something that not too many people ask: countries like the US and Italy may not have had super success recently in terms of winning slams, but they’re definitely the best *COMBINED* between men and women.
Russia and Belarus definitely would’ve been up there too if they were allowed to play.

USA best team by far in this United Cup,Fritz and Tiafoe are the best US ATP players today and Pegula and Keys were unbeatable.

Looks like America is back! With the superb play by them in the United Cup and Korda playing some of the best tennis I’ve seen in a long time, (he had match point against Djokovic in Adelaide, should have won), America has a bright future ahead.
