Ruud is such a gentleman even when he’s beaten.
Smiles and congrat Djere in the handshake at the net was so nice. Of course, per Ruud’s reputation, that’s what I imagine the exchange was like .
Must have been hard for Djere to continue competing after the loss of both his parents to cancer in 2018. Can’t imagine being by yourself at 23 without parents…
Virtual hugs for you Djere.

I love the view from the court inside. It’s so much more representative of how intense the pros play.

Djere’s first win over top 3. Must have been a tough long wait for Djokovic, Federer and Nadal to finally start sharing

Ruud is like Thiem, he needs space to play his game. When there are courts that doesn’t allow you to stand way back on return and defense he suffers. Djere served amazing, but if this match was on the main court, Ruud would have won this match easily.

Ruud has to be the most classy player when defeated, not easy to smile at the net when beaten by your opponent. Hats off to him.

ruud is inconsistent as hell. early losses at atp 500 and below and then gets into finals of atp 1000s and grand slams

Casper’s strategy in the last weeks has been to suck in small events just to be underestimated at later big events and go far at them… you don’t fool me this time caspah

I thought Brooksby was just tenacious, but he’s also an offensive player. The way he hits the backslice is interesting.

Cannot believe they have top 10 guys playing professional tournaments on this court. This is a practice court.
