Insane how at this very tournament just last week Draper dismantled Kwon 6-2 6-1 and just now he flips it and wins? ridiculous what a week can do in tennis, as for Thanasi that was simply a match of big points, arguably Kokk played better but couldn’t capitalize on those break points, regardless hopefully he can take that form into AO and go for a run. Looking forward to the final
Kwon forehand’s precision was out of this earth. He was painting the lines shot after shot till Draper couldn’t take it anymore and gave up the fight.
Kwon’s closed stance forehand has improved greatly. He always had nice groundstrokes but I think he’s been working on that finishing shot during his off season. Tomorrow’s final will be a tough match. But I’ll give Kwon the edge because that Fear Hand has something extra on it this tournament.
Man we should really appreciate Thanasi, what a game it was ,my god Thanasi’s serves and forehands were awesome and Bautista court covering is awesome. And both of the matches were awesome!
Kwon grew up to become a totally different player…power, accuracy, consistency, esp. his forehand starts shining out!! Go for it !!!
I want Draper to do well this year but wow, Kwon deserved every second of that. fearlessly painting the lines
Fantastic semi finals! Happy for Kwon and BA. BA is super fit, impressive. 💫
Kwon is getting better and better🔥🔥 Couldn’t stop watching his forehand
Amazing play from Kwon! He was in the zone
Kwon can hang with Alcaraz on groundstrokes but his serve and game management were huge liabilities which he has improves markedly. That gives him more breathing space and confidence which allows his groundstrokes shine more.
Kwon’s forehand top spin is so precise and powerful that made Draper give up at the end. Nice work both players!
Both matches were insane… what a start to the year for all of the last 4 this tourney
What a forehand from Kwon! Amazing run for him 😄, hope he wins the whole thing!
Kwon is an incredible player, entertaining, creative, hope he goes far, not just in this tournament, but in his career
What a performance from Kwon! He reminds me of Andre Agassi. Go for the trophy, Kwon!
Kokkinakis has come a long way with a much improved play.Hopefully this is a good practice run for him for the Australian open.Kwon and Bautista very impressive.May the best man win 🏆
Draper is a promising young talent, but Kwon really showed his skill here
A final with two excellent counterpunchers, this should be exciting
Bautista Agut – beautiful clean strikes. I love the way he connects with the ball
I love Kwon’s game. To generate so much pace on any short balls is amazing. I hope to see him in the US and in Europe this year.
I thought Kwon and RBA would be rolled. Man was i wrong. Just outstanding performances by both and a great final to come
_REALLY_ impressed by Kwon’s level of play!
RBA… just always so tough.
5:35 bro Thanasi threw that point so hard.
Perfect return, the point is over, he has a time to walk forward and finish with the volley, but he stops in his tracks, and waits for the bounce, and instead of baiting Agut and playing wrong foot, he plays it right. Then Agut gives him another opportunity to finish it and he plays the worst volley ever in this situation.
