Happy for Thiem, Molcan is a tough player with talent. Hard match for a first round, but he passed the test.
Thiem bringing back that big booty energy we all missed. Still a long way to go but even hearing “game, set, match, Thiem” is something that has become a rarity.
Yes. Some good improvements which is what I want to see. Clay looks like it might work better for him this year as it gives him more time and he can play the drop shot better.
Thiem is an excellent clay courter. Hopefully this is the beginning of a trend upward and not just one good match

Domi’s body is as unyielding as it was in his prime. He will regain his strength with some big win.

Theres sooo much pontential for improvement especially serve and forehand(there was 3 vorhand unforced errors behind each other)! But throughout it was a good game! That brings much hope because thiem can bring so much more on court and against the top8 he needs it
Two things would bring me great joy in 2023. 1) Thiem in the top ten again. 2) Rublev winning a GS (less likely).
That slow red clay turns a lot of matches into a battle of endurance and stamina.
So happy for Thiem!
