Medvedev on hard courts is a player at a different level. On clay, noone can match Rafa and on grass, noone can match Nole.

Tsitsipas hit a couple of backhands that were incredible, would be nice to have actual highlights rather than the game/set points
I like Med’s unorthodox style (and his personality), but he seemed to struggle here. Fokina gave him a lot of problems in the first set, his deep returns on Med’s serve doing the most damage. He really made a lot of unforced errors in the second set, and then completely imploded in the third. I think he lost the match himself rather than Med grinding him down, as he so often does with his opponents. I hope Med can improve — he’ll need to — but I just don’t see him winning anything at all this year (and definitely not a slam).
What an interesting tournament. If possible, I want to watch the highlights twice as long. But why did Medvedev keep giving thumbs up?

At 10:16, if Sonego were to go up to the net, he would have had an easy put away volley. Most top players would have done that: Djokovic, Tsitsipas, Hurkacz, etc.
Medvedev’s default reaction to negativity is most definitely sarcasm.
