Playing against peak Meddy must be so exhausting. Sinner actually played so well in the first set, and just cannot keep his intensity in the last 2 sets. Hopefully, he can learn from this match and improve upon it.

Med’s defensive, counter-punching gameplay is not the easiest on the eye, but it is really effective (and it’s not all ugly as he can hit some incredible winners, especially when under pressure from explosive, attacking hard-hitters such as Sinner). It must be a nightmare facing a guy who is so tall and agile — watching him standing nearly as far back as the advertisement boards when his opponent is serving is bizarre but fascinating. Lol! He’s deceptively fast for a man of 6ft 6 and deceptively powerful, too. His large wingspan is pretty formidable and hard to get past. He just stays in the rally with constant powerful and deep returns. And last , but not least, he has a powerful and accurate serve to bail him out when he’s in deep trouble. Basically, Med is a bit of a machine! Looking forward to seeing how he does this year.
To be 6’6 and have that kind of speed and rally tolerance is really something to behold. Med is back
What hitting from both players. Medvedevs level is unbelievable. The way he can keep the ball so deep in the court on flat shots is incredible.
After a long time without Meddy on court, it makes me very happy to watch him recovering his form and level.
The way he played the second and third set in this match made me remembering a lot of previous battles with him on court and also illusionating me with another ones we can have later on 👈👈😉
Amazing final, probably Meddy’s highest level since AO last year. Those last two sets were flawless from Daniil.
