Wawrinka hits the ball so cleanly, he really does have some of the cleanest striking I’ve seen out of everyone on the tour. It’s just a shame his speed isn’t up to par with the next gen otherwise he’d still be a top contender
That point to win the 2nd set for Bergs was ridiculous. Can’t believe he kept getting the ball back
The variety of backhands from Stan the Man was a joy to watch. The man is truly so talented.
Wawrinka’s forehand is massively underrated. Was getting some insane angles on it this match
3:23 – impressive retrieving skills and defensive play by Bergs. But glad Wawrinka won this. He’s slowly building up back to his old form. Clay season will be interesting.
Enjoy every Wawrinka moment as it comes. We don’t know how long he has left.

Stan is the most pure attacking player from the baseline I think I’ve ever seen. That backhand lets him dictate so easily, it’s ridiculous. When he’s on form there is just nothing you can do against how cleanly and powerfully he strikes it
If there were to be a “BIG 5” Stan would have to have been in it! None of these players give up on a match. Saw the same with Murray earlier 🙂
