6:12 how in the world can the umpire award this point to felix? the call came well before cressy made contact with the ball, and he DID make contact with the ball. was it a difficult shot? yes. was felix in commanding position? yes. but cressy DEFINITELY had a play and the fact that he hit it out has no bearing since the call came well before and so cressy had no motivation to make the ball, just to establish that he had a play on it, which he did.

Novak struggled but that’s good for him in the early rounds after not playing competitively for a month. Novak should meet Hurkacz in the Quarterfinals and Medvedev in the Semifinals. Hope Novak can get into the U.S. to play one or both Masters 1000 tournaments.
