Gasquet with the 2 handed pass down the line, insane!
Thiem’s one of my favorite players, but it truly breaks my heart to see him continue to struggle like this. Especially after fighting so hard in that 3rd set tiebreak but still coming up short in the end. And to think he won this tournament 4 years ago too. Genuinely hope he’s able to gain some form sooner or later at the very least, but the chances of that happening are getting slimmer by the minute.
Love seeing Gasquet win, he’s just so fun to watch
Kudos to Andy and Stan for actually trying to adapt to their new tennis form after their careers got derailed. Thiem could learn a thing or two from them.
Murray is outstanding fighter this year all his wins are thrilling
You can’t see it in the highlights, but at the net Andy tells Etcheverry, “You’re a great player, and you’re going to have a great career”. He’s just a pure soul, I can’t help but love him.
Amazing from Murray . Metal hip now coming back to form . For me he’s one of the greatest to ever play .
Thiem literally trying to get back into good form and everyone does things differently. I’m sure he will play well this year and have the confidence again 😉
Sad to see Dominic’s loss. He’s almost there! Luck didn’t favoured him!
that Gasquet two-handed backhand tho 😃
Gasquet, Murray, Wawrinka… I like seeing these old guys make it difficult to the young ones. They are not so fast anymore, but they know the way.
every game is a final for Murray, v hard to keep like this for many seasons.
Holy sh*t, Gasquet’s backhand is world class ! Anyone dare to say no ?
Murray is restarting his career! 😊
I would love to see a documentary about after some time to see what Thiem is or was struggling with mentally and physically. This downfall is insane. Look at his face when his serve got broken in the third. He looked like a broken man
Felt bad for Thiem before. But now I’m starting to feel really bad for him
Look at Thiems position and the depth of his forehands at around 3:37 before Mannarino gifts him the set. He plays like someone who is afraid to make a mistake and that doesnt work at this level. You can also see it on the Volley at 2-0 up in the final tie-break. Eh really needs to start working on the mental aspects and would need a Coach who is far More aggressive and demanding than Massu.
Murray, Wawrinka, Gasquet winning like its 2016 again
I love so much Ben Shelton serve’s motion (very dynamic and his hips rotation is insane)
All I want is Thiem to reach his prime level again 🤬😔
Such a terrible loss for thiem. Should have never happened, I really hope he gets some confidence somewhere because this loss may have just shattered it…
Andy’s biggest goal this year should be winning a match in straight sets. He’s giving his metal hips a run for their money.
Andy really needs to start closing out some of these matches sooner, but man is it great to see him fighting like he does. It’s what he’s always done best. Really hope Thiem can get over whatever is troubling him. Even if that means quitting tennis, honestly. He doesn’t seem like a happy guy overall right now.
What year is this? Wawrinka and Gasquet still killing it
Nothing easy for Murray anymore. Every match is an epic struggle, but gotta give him credit for his passion. Well done.
That Murray backhand is truly something else.
Nice to see the old guard like Murray, Wawrinka and Gasquet going through, but so sad for Thiem. His clock is ticking faster than the rest of them. His strokes are fading fast.
Great to see 3 beautiful one-handed backhands today (Thiem, Wawrinka, Gasquet)!
