One of the greatest wins of Med’s career, over 3 hours against a tough opponent playing really well on a surface he couldn’t dislike any more, after a gnarly ankle turn to boot. Heart of a lion, vamos Meddy.

It‘ll definitely be one of the best matches of 2023. This match might‘ve even been the decider on who‘ll win Indian Wells.
Zverev finally got to his best or atleast close to it and that’s very refreshing.
Both of them gave us a nice match and it’s great to see someone challenging Medvedev and also great that Med isn’t injured.

zverev and the double faults are simply an inseparable couple.
What a match. Closest Medvedev came to losing during this 17 match run. Zverev finally looks to be getting back to his best, hopefully he does not get too down on himself after losing this. 2/17 on break points was his undoing here.
But that was really impressive from Medvedev. Rolled his ankle, didnt like the court conditions/speed but found a way. Glad the ankle is okay. If we get a Meddy Alcaraz final that is going to be VERY interesting.
I can’t believe I saw his lower leg crack in half just last year and he’s back playing again.
It’s good to see Zverev playing at a high level again. There was an element of doubt whether he’d be able to get back to his best after the terrible injury last year.
