I know Medvedev should be tired from all the recent title runs, still the final score is totally unexpected. Wow!
When Roger Federer was playing his best on a hard court he could make other great players look ordinary. Now Alcaraz is doing something similar. He practices on specific shot making, just like Federer did.
He’s unbelieveable. If he stays injury free he could do anything.
Alcaraz stronger, more aggressive, and less error prone. All court game picked Medvedev apart, Alcaraz is lethal, going to win so many slams at this rate
djokovic at 35 won ao
medvedev at 27 won 3 consecutive titles
alcaraz at 19 won iw
what an amazing year of 3 different generation super stars!!
Too many weapons, too much firepower, and most importantly, fearless. The Medvedev wall and tactical strategy was not only broken, but smashed into smithereens. Well played Carlos Alcaraz!
I’ve read more than a few comments saying that Carlos isn’t all that. But, yes, he is the real deal. His comprehension of the positional aspects of the game is very impressive.
As a medvedev fan I think Carlos play style perfectly counters Daniil’s. Hes got perfect dropshots, great net game which can expose medvedevs deep position, plus his aggressive game and amazing firepower which can breakdown the defence of Medvedev. He can also lure him to the net which he isn’t too comfortable and pass him. Overall too solid from alcaraz
It’s simply a privilege to watch this kid getting better and better and improve in almost real time. He will win so many titles in the future, become World No.1 again and again. Vamos Carlitos! 🥰
Alcaraz has that Federer talent where he is just so good at the game, but instead of making it look easy, he makes it look impossible. Alcaraz looks like he has 150% the energy of an average human being.
His game has really been polished since the US Open. This is getting scary.
Honestly thank god for Carlos Alcaraz. When Roger retired, I thought my interest in tennis would dip. But thanks to this man, I am more passionate than ever. I’m looking forward to being a Carlos fan for many years to come.
0:46 Wow, Federer like forehand from Alcaraz, amazing! This kid has a great future, could be the next all time great at this rate, with many grand slam wins.
Alcaraz’s serve was bullying Medvedev from the get go!! Incredible performance 🔥
First player to win Indian Wells without dropping a set since Rodger Federer did it in 2017. When a name appears next to Federers and Nadals, you know you’re looking at a future great 🔥🔥
Alcaraz’s slice is indefensible. It’s amazing what technique he has at such a young age. Congratulations Carlos!
Alcaraz deserves all the applause bc he performed at a high level & played his strategy well against Medvedev. Only regret here is not seeing Medvedev play at his best. He definitely looked tired & out of it at this final, not to take away anything from Alcaraz’s amazing performance. Would have loved it if they both played at their best level.
Alcaraz has a chance to post double digit slams—especially when you consider that no one in his age bracket seems to be on the same level of talent. Rune is promising, but he seems a full 2 years from reaching the level Alcaraz is currently at, if he gets there at all.
Alcaraz is just amazing to watch. I can’t believe he beat Medvedev like he did
If Alcaraz can remain injury free.. exciting times ahead for tennis!
🌍 Back to World No. 1
🛑 Ending Medvedev’s win streak
🏆 3rd Masters 1000 title
🌴 Youngest ever male to complete career sunshine double
Not a bad day at the office for Carlitos 😎
Alcaraz is the most versatile player these days. Drop shots, slices, serve and volley, going to the net. The whole package.
Grande Carlos!
I feel bad that Medvedev’s winning streak came to an end. I wanted see him win, but it was clear early on that Alcaraz was outpacing him. Also, I don’t know how many of you remember this, but when Meddy first came to prominence it was his killer serve that was trademark. No one could return it, and today the roles were reversed. It was Alcaraz who was dominating the serves. Oh well, there’s always Miami.
Love Carlos’ all-court game. His game is the perfect antithesis to Medvedev’s. Especially when you see how he used to the S&V to take advantage of Medvedev’s deep return position. He’s able to get away with that deep return position against most everybody else. But against Carlos, who’s comfortable coming forward, it works against him.
Carlos is playing with an even more complete game than he did when he won in New York. His transition & net play is developing really well.
I love that 3rd game in the 2nd set, Alcarez basically said “Yes I can rally with you if I wanted to …… but I can also end the point immediately if I wanted to”
Fabuloso Carlos.
He’s an artist and a blacksmith all combined into one. That was quite the performance. Daniil didn’t lose as much as was pounded into submission. Someone who has won 20 matches on the trot, getting beaten 3 & 2 isn’t normal. Just that he came up against an irresistible player.
As a Roger fan, I’ve seen plenty of unreal serve & volley throughout the last decades.
But what Carlos did yesterday against Daniil is beyond ridiculous.
What a raw talent 😮👏
Loved the respect Daniil showed for Carlitos, saying “he’s the most respectful player on tour, greeting 300 people a day on every tournament, and you rarely see that”.
Respect on and off the court makes the difference ❤
Straripante. Umiliante per gli altri.
What impressed me alot that Spain has huge potentials; in the time the great Rafa is descending 😢 great Carlitos is ascending 😊.Vamos Espana ❤
He is a beast mode.Perfect drop shots and less errors.
Massive congratulations to Carlos. His game is incredible to watch. For someone so young he has an amazing ability to play impossible shots.
