Kokkinakis on the brink of winning on multiple occasions this year. Hopefully he can start closing matches soon, def was playing like a top 50 here

What a day. Some great matches in Miami. So proud of Monteiro, hope he continues in this level of tennis.

Kokkinakis will learn from this. Imagine seeing match point after match point disappear because you are too nervous and want to win too much that you stop playing your game and hoping your opponent makes a mistake. I’m so happy for Tiafoe and his new fighting spirit and focus. A year ago he probably would have lost the match. I see his growth for sure.

Man, poor Kokkinakis. First he loses the longest 5 setter of the year against Murray, now he loses the longest 3 setter of the year so far against Hurkacz. Hope he gets one of those drawn out wins this year.

Love Kokkinakis, after a tough loss in a match he had in the palm of his hands still smiling walking up to Hurkacz

That clean backhand winner off a 126mph second serve was the filthiest thing I’ve seen today. It was the backhand version of Djokovic’s swat down match point against Federer at the 2010 US open.

It’s like Federer against Kyrgios in 2017. Intense tie-break. both of them were deserve to win this match.

Watching these highlights makes me believe tennis is in pretty good shape, despite the absence of greats like Nadal and Djokovic.

What a crowd. It has been always funny to me that Indian wells and Miami both have such a good fan base and location compared to U.S Open.

Kokkinakis is just like me lol – I cannot finish a match no matter what😅😅😅. Anyways, congrats to Hubi for an insane win!

The first 3 matches of the highlights
6-7,7-6,7-6
7-6,6-7,6-4
and then
7-6,7-6…
tie break after tie break !

and then Medvedev rushes through his match 🙂

Hubie and kokkinakis just blew the tournament up. Both men playing under enormous pressures and delivering. Kudos to both. Hubie is moving better and better now. And he plays the net beautifully ❤..mFrances Tiafoe refused to lose. What matches we have now.

2:07 was a second serve. Kokk absolutely sent it, and Hubi fired one of the best returns you’ll see all year, facing a match point.

Insanity.

Best atp match in years!! Both were playing as if their life was at stake; both were winners, actually

polska on 🔝

2:07 is gonna be return of the year. 126 mph on a second serve match point down and he casually send one of the best returns

So much respect for Thanasi to smile through the pain. He has been so close so many times already. Really hope he continues this level of play, he is right there.

What a day in Miami. Both the mens and womens side. Match point saves galore, comebacks galore, tiebreaks galore, anyone who had the time to watch this day from start to finish had a thoroughly enjoyable 14 hours. Incredible stuff.
Surely that has to be the record for most tiebreaks played in 1 single day at a tennis event, or at least an ATP Masters 1000/WTA 1000.
That’s a painful defeat for Thanasi. 5 MP. 3 in the 2nd set, 2 in the 3rd. Hubi somehow always peaks in Florida. What a comeback from Hurkacz.
Tiafoe…I checked the score when he was down a break in set 2 and didnt after that and assumed he lost. So relieved he came through. Watanuki was insanely good though.
FAA vs Montiero tight tiebreaks, deja vu from US open 2020…..
Meanwhile, through all the epics and insanity….Medvedev eased through 1 and 2 in 1h02 lol.
