Awesome match! I was so happy to see Sinner prevail. He has so much talent and you could see at the US Open last year that he was very close to beating Carlos. What Sinner did correct here is focus on the serve returns. His play was just superb.

Chills and no words. Sinner’s point won at 4-2, 0-15 in the first set was just unreal. 😵‍💫

He had to play more than his maximum to win the match. Incredible. The first set wasn’t human

This performance will shut a lot of critiques who wrote off Sinner, and thought he wouldn’t stand a chance against Carlito. What a performance from both. Such an electrifying match. Some of the rallies were by far the best this year. Sinner stood strong with his deep, powerful ground strokes and extreme athleticism beating Carlito in his own game.

Grandi👏🔥🎾

I’m so happy for Sinner I could cry. I could just cry. He played out of his mind but retained his composure. I don’t even want to entertain the thought of him potentially losing against Medvedev in the final. He needs to win this. He’s come too far. That long rally they had is definitely one of the rallies of the year. I don’t care what happens for the rest of this year. Damn!! I’m loving these two!!

My friend and I got to see them live today. These guys are amazing! The fact that they can constantly play epic matches with such tenacity and hard-hitting shots is unbelievable, especially for how young both of them are. Commiserations to Alcaraz and Forza Sinner!

That point is really one of the greatest of all time. Amazing stuff. Carlos gave his absolute all and love that Jannik ended on the winning side of it. The point ended for both about five times!! My new favorite rivalry and my new favorite rally. The reaction on point too. Both of these guys have to give their absolute all whenever they play each other.

Such an amazing, fresh thing for tennis. Such intensity. Such athletisticm. Such effort. Such strength. Such shotmaking. Awesome stuff, pushing each other and this sport to its absolute best. And hoping they keep doing this for many years to come and both stay healthy. What a match this was. What a rally it was. And what a young and brewing rivalry we already have on our hands. Wild stuff

For those wondering what the “changes” were…
Sinner was playing on the baseline, hitting with more topspin and less speed on his forehand, and not hitting his usual angles to opponents backhand (which plays right into Carlos countertactics), but rather just constantly moving him from side to side until there was opportunity for a winner.
Very good strategy from Sinner and his team…👍🏻😌

I started cheering for Sinner when watching his match against Tsitsipas at AO Open this year. Gosh, this young man is super talented. Hope he becomes a Slam champion one day

Love the sportsmanship. Carlos said “I’ll cheer for you” after the game. What an incredible tennis.

As a Sincaraz fan, I see this as a win. I didn’t understand why so many people counted Sinner out because of last week’s results. Anyone who watches tennis should know this. It would kinda suck if Sinner loses the final; no disrespect to Meddy, of course. And for the hard-core alcaraz fans, remember that the wins always taste better when coming back from losses. Think in the perspective of a Sinner fan. Sinner Lost the quarters at the U.S., and then last week. Im sure this win was amazing. I remember when Alcaraz won the quarters, I was so happy, cause he lost to Sinner in Wimby and Umag. It seemed like he just couldn’t beat him till he did. This was a well-deserved win. Just wish it ended in a tiebreak or something instead of fatigue, but that’s the sport. Lets go Jannik bring the trophy home!
