People may hate on Medvedev, but you just can’t ignore him.
For all the underdogs and people who are fighting to survive, Medvedev is a great role model with his exemplary determination and consistency. Push him down, and Meddy will come back stronger 💪.
Medvedev has been the most consistent player since the big 4. And the last 2 months he reached another level. 5 finals in a row, 4 titles… Simply wow.
I think one of the best parts about Medvedev’s game is his mental. He has so many unnecessary haters, and he doesn’t let any crowd, media, or anyone deter his focus, and he just plays his game. He’s able to play under any kind of environment, pressure, etc. and just shut people up, and I love it
It was painful to see Jannik succumb to Daniil’s game. So many opportunities to change it up, but instead decided to fall for the baseline exchange that everyone knew was not going to go into his favor. His body didn’t let him play his 100% today, but he needs to learn to quickly adapt to unfavorable situations and change it up, play with more variety. He barely came to the net today… Forza Jannik! It’ll be another time. And congrats Meddy, it’s been a terrific 5 consecutive finals and 4 titles 👏

Congrats to the best tennis player in 2023 so far for the title. It could be an interesting year for the chase on the No1 spot between Carlos, Nole and Daniil. But now we will go for next 2-3 months on clay, which is not Daniils favorite surface. And congrats to Jannik for a great run to the final, maybe it could be a good year for him.
It’s Daniil’s 19 title in 19 different cities (according to Twitter’s Relevant Tennis, I didn’t check it). It just shows how versatile Daniil is, not only surface-wise, but also in terms of adaptation to different climate conditions, altitude, cultures, places.

Tennis is not just about hitting those huge winners, but more importantly it’s about discipline. One of the best examples of disciplined and hard working performances is Medvedev. His relentless mindset, and never giving up attitude coupled with some very steady tennis makes him today one of the biggest threats. 4 titles in 5 finals is such a dream run. Congrats Daniil.

Seeing this match live, Danil was just so smooth, and consistent. After he broken in the first set, he rose his gameplay and kept this foot right on the gas. Such a solid player, and a true professional. The crowd was certainly behind Sinner, yet Mercedes never seemed to let it bother him, or he certainly didn’t show it!
