Some of Shelton’s defense was absolutely fucking insane. Tough beat, but I think there are a lot of positives for him to take away. He’s still very much getting used to clay, and he’s already picked up a couple match wins on the surface. I see no reason he couldn’t become very potent on the surface once he gets used to moving on the dirt and once he increases his shot tolerance and improves his risk/reward analysis in points a bit more (don’t get overeager, play mature points). Lot of upside for him as a player imo.
P.S. I think he’ll be nasty on grass

Tiafoe doesnt know this guy but Ruus pushed a little more with his usualy baseline angle playing that 8:13 push volley is insane feel. Hope he climbs more.
