Rublev’s dropshot is dangerous because nobody ever expects him to make one lol! Love seeing him add more variety to his game.
No one informed Rune that Fokina and Carlos trained together in the juniors. The drop shots were not going to work on him. Fokina read them like it was nothing, and boy is he FAST! That play really hurt Rune today, and since that’s his usual play when he starts running out of steam, it was a big problem for him.
Rublev hitting angles and drop shots more often now….he’s gonna be a monster very, very soon

Two things suprised me: Rublev did a drop shot and Coric has hair.
I feel like Nishioka is in the very frustrating period for his game: hitting a ceiling, waiting for things to click, to unlock his game. A better serve would be useful as well.
