Running out of superlatives with this kid – his level today was simply unplayable. Last year the general consensus was that he needed to work on his serve, especially his placing – well, done and done. His serve is now yet another weapon for him – as if he needed more. Carlos has everything to dominate the circuit for many years, only injuries and his own devotion to greatness and all the work involved can stop him.

Alc’s major improvement is serve this year. He lost eight point on serve in two sets. He is finishing matches in straight sets compared to last year. He has improved big time

Alcaraz seems impossible to beat right know. I hope he can maintain this level of play through the tournament.

Amazing from Alcarez, utter domination from start to finish against a top player. Great to watch and In this mood unstoppable. Looking forward to Roland Garros where I think he will have a good chance to be champion.

Zverev just recently dominated his last opponent too! 6-1, 6-0. So for Alcaraz to do this is just incredible

I’m not a Zverev fan, but considering his good conditions to play on clay, it’s remarkable what Alcaraz has played today.
This guy seems definitively unstoppable right now and I really doubt someone being capable to beat him at the moment.

15 games dropped vs Medevedev on a slow hard court, Tsitsipas on a clay court and Zverev in Madrid. Alcaraz is just playing tennis from another planet right now.

Alcaraz’ footwork is Amazing; unlike most players who stay back further on clay because it gives them more time, then they often become either stuck there or pushed back by a powerful player. Carlos, however uses great footwork to gradually move closer and closer, slowly edging out the other player by cutting down their time, space and angles. This match is an example of a great player versus a very good player, in Zverev.

Amazing game by Alcaraz… Sure, Zverev just came back this year after a pretty lengthy injury, but Alcaraz 6-1, 6-2 ‘d a guy that was a semifinalist at RG last year and won Madrid in 2021. If injuries don’t hinder his progress too much, it’s a very promising clay season for Carlos 🔥

I think people who complain that Alcaraz is being made out to be a legend when he hasn’t accomplished much (for the time being, seeing that he’s 19) don’t realize that tennis is undergoing a revolution with Alcaraz’s way of playing. The Spaniard has brought back drop shots as an offensive tactic, which has pushed forward players, his speed and defense strategy like Djokovic and aggressive Federer style play has changed the game from the last couple of years which has been at the baseline. There is so much to be excited, and we are watching it now, presently, develop! He truly is electric.

He’s getting so efficient now. We don’t get to see his crazy defense as much because he’s not allowing players to get him on the move.

@1:30 Carlos adjusted his approach when he is stretched out wide on the forehand, now he goes down the line (also on the backhand). Those down the line shots are key for him to avoid being stuck in those cross court rallies against tall players!

Hope Alcaraz could maintain this incredible level during all the clay season, especially if Nadal is out in Roland Garros.

Second match in a row where he finishes the match on an unreturned serve! This shows the progress he has made on serve. Also loves to see him do those backhand passes.

Alcaraz mixed with Federer ‘s tatics and Nadal’s topsin playing style but the attack more penetrating.

I really enjoy watching Alcaraz. The level of play is excellent. I never liked players who grunt but it doesn’t matter to me anymore…he is exciting to watch 😊

Outstanding Alcaraz level, Zverev one of the best tennis player in the world, seems a beginner playing Vs him, there are only 1 or 2 players now that can dispute a match to Alcaraz right now, really awesome Carlitos 👏

Insane… He’s already a legend because he is an evolution of the game. Nobody plays like him and this why sometimes it looks easy for him because nobody can match his best right now.
Only thing to care about with him for the moment are the injuries.

He is starting to be a lot like big 3… when at their best, almost no can match that level.. and when not playing that great, still manage to win the matches
