Welcome to the big time, Fabian Marozsan!

The best part was that he beat Alcaraz in the most Alcaraz fashion – unreturnable serves, killer forehand, dictating every rally, perfectly timed dropshots.

LOVED Fabian’s emotional control/discipline. He saved so much energy and played clay court judo: levering Alcatraz’s forces against him. Carlos got schooled today! Can Fabian play hard courts? Just wow.

Burhan SO WHAT?

What I liked a lot about Fabian was how confident he was and he did not get carried away under pressure, even when he was down 1-4 in the tiebreak, he remained calm and won 6 points in a row to win the match and after he won, there wasn’t an immense show of emotion. It was like, he was destined to win this match and he just knew it.

Alcaraz is like “Now i know, what it feels like to be tortured with drop-shots. Henceforth i will be more judicious when it comes to drop-shots”. Well played Fabian!

Marozsan played so aggressively, standing inside the baseline in rallies and hitting flat and on the rise which took time away from Alcaraz. Standing closer into the court is why his dropshots were so deadly.

His play style reminds me a lot of Aslan Karatsev, and the time when Karatsev beat Djokovic on clay.

Carlitos just got a taste of his own medicine! What stunning drop shots and winners from Marozsan! This was a performance that’ll haunt Alcaraz for a long long time.

Just wow! With the drop shot becoming such a valuable weapon, I wonder how much it will cause these players to play closer to the baseline. Hope Marozsan has the goods to keep it going.

Man, he was so calm and composed in the entire match and especially in the tie breaker to play a point like that when you are trailing 1-4 is truly professional and gentleman’s play. I hope him to be consistent and not a wonder boy just for a tournament or a season.

It’s like seeing a mirror image of Alcaraz, but with more panache and grace: strategic attacking tennis, all court game, massive forehand and the icing– impeccable and feathery drop shots. And the cherry on top of Maozsan’s game: No annoying or delayed grunts.

Fabian Marozsan wiped the floor with Alcaraz…I’m glad…that shows that nobody is invencible.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ¡GREAT JOB FABIAN!

He gave Alcaraz a piece of his own medicine. Best part for me is his respectful celebrations, he hardly screams, “Vamosed” every winner around the court, even after shaking hands with the loser., he was super chilled and respectful. You would think his ranking was #2 and not #135.

Unreal! Marozsan may yet have the best dropshots on tour. On top of that, he was on fire on both wings, as well as his anticipation and footspeed, and played with hellbent, reckless abandon with incredible accuracy. Pretty much unplayable.

Se me cae un lagrimon la verdad, que movimientos que tiros precisos que elegancia y la manera de como recorre en la cancha como un cisne, me recuerdan a un joven Roger Federer 😀 claro uno que tiene. Revés a dos manos.. 😊

This was a heck of a match. My love for Alcaraz has not faded or drop one bit. Just a hard lesson and tough match. He and his team has to go back to the lab and make sure he is ready for this kind of player, do not make the same mistakes and use another strategy.

I watched the entire match: jaw dropping tennis by Maroszan… Out of this world. If it can even replicate 50-70% of this quality, he’s a top 20 already. But the level displayed today is absolutely number one of the world

That stunning FH winner at 4-4 in the TB when his body weight is going backwards, that BH DTL winner at 5-5 deuce was a Djoker special, epic drop shots beating Alcaraz at his own game, great match from Fabian, hope he keeps winning 🙂
