Rune was booed by people inside this stadium against Fognini. But what he did was he beat Fognini, Djokovic and now Ruud. He may not be as likeable amongst the youngsters and he has a lot of growing up to fo but he sure does let his tennis talk. Mentally tough and physically in-form. I hope he does win a GS this year!

Rune is the real deal! Mentally and physically a force. Him, Alcaraz, Sinner and a bunch of others will keep the sport exciting for the coming years.

Ruud the new David Ferrer, he lacks that next gear with the top dogs, but with his attitude and professionalism, he’ll definitely have a very long and successful career

Wow… well done Rune. As one living in Norway, I felt Rune just had to get over the fact that he is playing a next-doorNorwegian player and put ALL what this entails out of his mind and play the game, relaxed and freely as he did with Novak. He is a great player. Kom igjen, Rune!!!!!:)) Exciting player to watch.

Ruud was om fire in the first set. But just couldn`t maintain momentum. Holger is growing into a legendary comeback kid. You Can just NEVER write him off and he must be the most frustrating player to fight against. Also, he just plays his best tennis when meeting top 10 players.

ruud is getting back to form but needs to work on backhand and less unforce errors through the whole match but ofc great play from Rune

The turnaround might have looked like a choke from Ruud, but Rune actually increased his speed in the groundstrokes significantly in the last half of the match.

It looks like it was a hell of a match for the first two sets. Congrats to both.
I think Rune is also gonna win the final for sure 🎾

It’ll be interesting to see where these 2 are ranked after the French open…I think it will be more accurate of a ranking for both of them.

Holger has that mindset that multiple grand slam champions have and that is he plays fearlessly, goes for his shots 100% even when he is missing and he is very happy to play the pressure points and the big points. He doesn’t panic when he’s down break point. This is what Casper is currently lacking. Despite playing better for most of the match he just couldn’t save a single break point he faced. He faced less break points than Holger but couldn’t save the few he faced. Not even one. While he had many breakpoints on Holger’s serve he panicked or got desperate and wanted to win so much that he was afraid to make mistakes, play big shots and as a result he couldn’t capitalise on his opportunities. Holger on the other hand played the riskiest shots down breakpoint. He went for it. I hope Casper learns to play those big points because at the moment that’s what he’s lacking. He plays well when he’s ahead and making no mistakes while Holger plays well when he’s ahead and he plays even better when he’s down. Holger and Alcaraz enjoy playing those big points and play them fearlessly. That’s why they are rising so quickly.

First set was really entertaining. Big groundstrokes and amazing net play. Ruud is unbelievably fast to dropshots

Such a sad thing to see Ruud losing this match because he was leading one set and a break in the second set, feeling himself really well on the court.
Anyways, I think he has had a big performance here, with very positive sensations for him to play RG coming soon.
