Looking at Fil’s gameplay, you really appreciate Alcaraz more. There were MULTIPLE drop shots Fil’s could have won on, but he resorted to power match.
Good for Djere, he seems like a nice humble guy, who’s worked hard and got a lot of game.
Djere is a helluva player and packs a powerful forehand. Well done beating a tough opponent easily in Zhang.
Even though fils didn’t win he looks like he has potential to become a top 25 player for sure. I can’t wait to see him play more in the future

What a great match that Fils/Zverev one was. Fils has big potential for sure, can see him being a top 20 player but what a comeback this season from Zverev after such a long injury.
Djere didnt lose a single point on his serve in first set and lost only 4 points on serve in whole match.

Sasha’s relief at the end says it all. It was just the lack of experience in this match, he had all the tools. Nice to see Sacha back to his best level, the movement is really something, hard to break his defense.
I’m happy for Djere, always admired his game, reminds me a bit of Bautista Agut. Would be good to see him go all the way
