At 7:01 , the slice Gasquet hits on that service return gave him so much time to recover back into the court. That’s the textbook shot to hit in that situation but also very difficult.
Courts are looking quite a bit faster this year, cincinnati switched from decoturf brand(the old USO surface from 1978 till 2019 before it switched to laykold) to greenset(the hardcourt brand used at AO) that explains the faster courts this year.
Mannn really wish Eubanks won, after watching him at Wimbledon it’s hard to root against his one-hand backhand and huge serves. Still expecting big things at the US Open though 😎
The ball merges with the court and such a fast shutter speed makes following the ball so difficult. No 60fps either. Surprisingly no one has pointed this out.
