The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 – September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Poland’s Iga Swiatek claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was both players’ first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another historic tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. I will forever be a Shelton fan for how he destroyed Popyrin at the AO early this year. Glad to see he’s advancing in the US Open.

I like Ben but he screams way too much unnecessarily. This ain’t college tennis where you trying to play mind games by yelling & screaming. This is men’s professional tennis. A little dignity and respect for the opponent goes a long way. At duece point screaming YEAHHHH twice, why? Wins a point which allows him to hold on to serve YEAHHHH, why? Clearly doing it with a purpose to unsettle the opponent and majority of times it works against him. Umpires seriously need to review his behaviour.
I remember watching Shelton’s debit match at the Atlanta Open last season and it was clear there was something special there
