Alcaraz’s game proves that athleticism and shotmaking are more entertaining than big hitting. The awe of Carlos reaching the unreachable shot, continuing to return overheads, et al is my choice everytime over servebots and baseline bombers.

50+ winners. He needs a 20min highlight package just to put the match in perspective

What a player

At 20 years of age he turns every match into an exhibition 😂🎉

The “tennis fans” who claim they hate Carlos are not tennis fans at all. The guy is one of the most exciting players to watch in any sport.

Alcaraz has a beauty in his game that only Federer had. He is a pure talent, you watch him with pleasure, compared to the robotic game of many other players, Alcaraz plays with his heart, he feels every shot. He puts on a show!!

He is best offensive player I have seen after a long time since Federer. Such a pleasure to watch. He is never afraid of making new shots.

He’s the only number one player I’ve ever seen who can lose a point and look at his opponent and smile.
That’s just temperament Novak has these fits of rage which I just find very off-putting I don’t look at it as passionate I look at as psychotic.
Carlitos is an absolute joy.

How Dan Evans is able to play at the highest level of professional tennis without a backhand is quite extraordinary

This is one of the most high quality, entertaining matches I have ever seen. I am so grateful and happy and satisfied. This match alone makes ESPN+ worth it. Congrats to both Carlos and Dan!

Probably the best highlights of the year. Carlos playing is like Playstation: Unreal.
Carlos is the only player on the tour who’s genuinely happy and wants the crowd to enjoy, so he gives more show. There’s no one like him. Despite the Big 3 being legendary, there was never anyone like Carlos as a whole. You’ve never seen a player so happy and friendly while still playing the Tennis of the Gods. And he has everything to surpass Novak in GS one day.

I love and appreciate the reaction of Evans on those points that Carlos should have conceited, but he came back with amazing shots. Evan demonstrated such a great fighting spirit, remarkable. Carlos seems to bring the best tennis of most players out. Let us not forget, that at nearly that age, Rafa used to be that kind of a player, that was hard to finish a point against. A Final of Carlos vs Novak will definetly proves that this is the start of new rivalry era. Awesome for the sport. 3 slams, 3 finals with the same players.🎉

Alcaraz should be very happy with his performance. He plays with joy, fairness, decency and sportsmanship. No violating service clocks, no strategic breaks, etc.

I think this was a win for Evans despite losing the match. No one really expected him to win a set and make Carlos play at such a high level to win.

I think we’re witnessing the most spectacular player of this decade. Every 3-4 points this guy makes a hot shot. Just unreal.

In the history of tennis, there has never been a player like Alcarez ever. If he stays injury free then he will probably break all the records.
