The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Poland’s Iga Swiatek claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles. Shame Dimitrov faded away. He’s an enigma. Always thought he’d achieve more. Always remember the match he played against Nadal.

Tremendous tennis from Grigor in the first two sets – and tremendous mental meltdown in the next two. Sasha fought hard for that win, and earned it. I don’t know about the thumbnail (which bothers so many people here), but the highlights are ridiculous. The first two sets alone contain at least 10 minutes of pure tennis gold.

zverev now leads dimitrov 6-1 head to head. zverev coming back in form after that injury is scary, dude is one of my favorite players and i’m happy to see him make a deep run here. hyped for his match against sinner as he leads 3-1 in h2h, their last USO in 2021 he beat sinner in straight sets but sinner has improved a lot.

The top half is just fully loaded heavyweight action with Alcaraz, Sinner, Zverev, Medvedev, and Rublev. The bottom half is a stroll in the park with Djokovic, Tiafoe, Fritz, and Paul. If the winner comes from the top half, he would have most definitely earned the title the very hard way!

The first two sets is such epic tie breaks. Baby Federer is no longer a baby but his backhand today indeed remind me of the legend. He is one of the great players that never get into slam final yet but I think the run way is getting shorter as 32 years old. I do wish him get a chance into a Final before he retires.

I’ve had big interest in Zverev and his comeback, particularly here since his 1st round showing…he held up beautifully vs an on-fire Dmitrov who if you watched his 1st round match, played fearless and became a crowd favorite on that little court/stands.

I watched this match live from courtside and I’ve got to say that the first two sets were out of this world in terms of quality

It’s funny how each grand slam this year (maybe AO didn’t do that) had to go through a wave a negative comments to stop putting winners in the thumbnail… finally thanks for listening

despite the loss, rigor still has the most beautiful looking technique on tour in my opinion after roger’s retirement

Having watched the first 2 sets on Eurosport live, I’d like to thank all those who contributed to turning such a high quality work of art (first 2 sets especially) into a miniature. Great effort indeed ! 👏

Great match and win for Zverev. Making his way back into the Top 10. He was ranked as high as No. 2 before he got that crushing ankle injury at FO 2022. Zverev is one of only two young players with 20 ATP titles with the other being Medvedev.
Looking forward to Zverev v Sinner next. Both are playing great tennis.
Four players are contending to get into the Top 10: Zverev, de Minaur, Paul and Tiafoe.
