The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 – September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Poland’s Iga Swiatek claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was both players’ first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another historic tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. Disappointed for Sinner but Zverev close to his best is underranked. He’s a more rounded player still, especially now that he comes forward.
Tennis is a brutal sport, both fought to the last point. Have to commend Sinner’s insane mental strength he didn’t crumble after cramping, huge props to him. Well done to Zverev, exciting to see he is back to his form!
Jannik Sinner’s humility is incredible, it is impressive how he has fought until the last moment, leading the match to a fifth set when at times he could barely walk

Gladiators pounding each other from the baseline. A tough grinding match and both struggled a little physically.
Zverev is back to almost 100%. With a day’s rest he can challenge Alcaraz.
Now, Alcaraz has to go through Zverev and Medvedev to meet Djokovic.
It is really frustrating Zverev draw have been really difficult since his comebak from injury facing big guns from earlier stages in the last tournaments.
This seemed like the best match of the tournament so far. Hopefully Zverev has the energy and plays his best tennis to be able to Escape From Alcaraz.
Both played reeeally well. The serve has played a big part I think. When the two players were tired and didn’t have much energy, Sascha could produce very high level serves, that helped him a lot. I was also impressed by Sascha’s net game, maybe the best volleys I’ve seen him play ever. Anyway, great match and great fight!

As someone who also deals with type 1 diabetes, I applaud Zverev’s performance and win.
Disappointing result. I miss the big-time match from Jannik and Carlos so much. But still, bravo to Jannik’s performance. He’s grown much mentally and physically this year. Keep going Jannik!
If you have been a fan of tennis you won’t be surprised zverev won..he won six titles in a single year..he’s an Olympic winner and former world no 3 but injury came now he’s moving to his spot..zverev can beat anybody he’s already beat everyone before including nole and alcaraz he’s a machine

Great epic match, generous and truthful to the sport’s spirit. Zverev deserves to be back where he deserves, Sinner will definitely grow further, he need to work a bit on his fitness.

Really inpressive from Zverev. I didnt see him beating Sinner, who is an absolute powerhouse atm. That being said, Zverev is going to have to play out of his absolute mind to beat Carlos. Im not sure i see it happening!
