The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 – September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Poland’s Iga Swiatek claimed the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was both players’ first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another historic tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. Djokovic just demolished a Top 10 player in a Grand Slam Quarterfinals who happens to be more than 10 years younger than him. Take that.
You just have to appreciate that Novak seems to get better with age, he just doesn’t seem to be falling off. There would be no shame if at his age he was getting knocked out in the quarters and had lost a step, but the man just keeps going. Complete freak of nature and a machine. We must cherish this legend while he’s still playing
Djokovic’s performances at 36 years of age are extraordinary. The best at that age since Ken Rosewall.
We need to appreciate what this guy gave as all to watch and be part of generation that witnessed the history of this sport. Nothing but respect here !
