This man is absolutely insane. He has created a myth out of his career… 36 and this guy goes 4/4 slam finals winning 3 of them. All that during the “Alcaraz hype train” year… all that at 36 years of age…. I dont think another human being is more in tune with body and mind the way Djokovic is…

That second set was a championship set indeed! Props to Novak for staying clutch and not falling through in clutch moments, that was the key for the victory. Great journey for Meddy as well as he didn’t only win Alcaraz which was incredible, but also Rublev, De Minaur, who apparently happened to be his kryptonite as of recently, and even Baez who was on a 12 match win streak. He fought through brutal conditions like no one else and not anyone pointed that out how all of that could’ve affected the Daniil’s physique and his mental state. He could’ve also made some history by beating Carlos and Novak at the same tournament and especially on a grand slam. Insane path and he should be proud of himself and learn the corresponding lessons. It will help him boost his confidence too as he’s realized he can beat anyone on tour, no doubt. He will be better next time for sure!

Djokovic looked exhausted during the second set, and yet he still managed to pull away from Medvedev. That kind of stamina at his age is unreal.

Incredible that at 36 years old he can play tennis at high level. When I was 36 years old, just jogging was exhausting.
Worthy of respect ,,, GOAT

Djokovic- such a great in fitness and skill, temperament and character! Just watching him with todays opposition makes me realise the greatness and mastery too, of Federer and Nadal, and their resultant synergies that raised the game above any past era…and possibly for a while to come.

A historic feat. The great Djokovic: one of the very greatest sportspersons to ever live, on this earth. The stuff of myths and legends.

Djokovic has so far competed in 72 Grand Slam tournaments and reached the finals 36 times. He has 24 wins. The guy reached the finals in half of all the Grand Slam tournaments he entered. This is such an amazing statistic that it’s hard to believe. Novak Djokovic is definitely the greatest of all time.

Both are great guys and delivered a great final especially the 2nd set, Meddy has much to be proud of defeating Rublev and Alcaraz and making the final from such a hard path. Djokovic is inevitable, this guy never stops

Watching Djokovic playing it is always a pure master class. At the age of 36 he is crashing everyone. True champion right there. And his IQ is also so high.

He has the strongest backhand, the strongest return, the strongest mentality, and the strongest tactician.
He also has a great serve and a great forehand.
In recent years, he has also improved his volleying.

In addition, he is injury-free and has a great body.

He is a hard court specialist, a clay specialist, and a grass specialist.

What on earth does he not have?

Cant imagine the physical and mental strength of Djokovic. Never doubted him ever since. I can still remember the 1st time I saw him playing against Tsonga circa 2008/9. That is the reason why I got hooked with tennis <3
