The scoreline doesn’t do justice to the competitiveness of the match, to be honest. Although Carlos won in straight sets, there were a lot of long rallies with top-calibre shotmaking.
He’s too good, his court coverage is insane
Alcaraz is the whole package.. power and a great tennis IQ. He will be in most finals for many years to come.
For Ruud to be playing that well and still lose 4 and 2 shows just how outrageous Alcaraz’s level is. Crazy stuff

The thing that impress me the most about alcaraz is how he can be so good in all surfaces with 20 years old? Nadal fed and novak in his early ages were court specialist,they needes years to adapt his game to other courts,but this guy game suit to every court

I really like Ruud’s sportsmanship, respect and fighting spirit, he had a few chances and a few bad strikes when it mattered most in the match but he played well even if I know he can still do better, come on Casper ! Huge fan here, great match from both players

Ruud played better than the scoreline suggests. Alcaraz just too good as it stands. Both players have spectacular open court forehands – great to watch.
