That first camera angle is one of the best I’ve ever seen for tennis. The perfect height to see both players and with how much margin they play over the net. WHY NOT USE IT ALL THE TIME
Honestly, I thought Zhang would beat Hurkacz in Shanghai with his powerful game, but Hubi was a bit better, it was a close match. Maybe the home soil put some extra pressure on Zhang. But he had nothing to be ashamed of as Hubi went on to win the whole thing with some of his best performances in all year.
We couldn’t have asked for earlier rematch and Zhang really got his revenge. Hubi was probably fatigued after last week, but it’s still a great win, Zhang has top 20 potencial if he continues to improve.
What a win by Maros Giron! And under such difficult circumstances with the court surface as unbelievably slow as it is. Very happy for him, and hopefully we can see lots more excellent tennis like this in the near future.

Shelton’s rally tolerance and patience have improved so much just this season, on so many points against Thompson he didn’t try to finish with a winner but instead kept adding more pressure until he’d come out on top of the rally

Giron is hitting with all the power one can possibly hit with. I felt I was watching Alcatraz hitting the ball when giron was hitting. Crazy power!

Normally I hate watching big servers, but Shelton’s wild play and raw power is seriously winning me over. Also seems to be a great sportsman and fun personality. This new generation is full of great personalities.
I totally love Shelton’s wins because it annoys the kind of people who need to be annoyed as often as possible.
Great win for FAA, really stepping his game up here. Unfortunately, it’s the least important part of the season and the stretch where a lot of lower ranked players make their move, so I need to see FAA carry better form into 2024 before I can get too excited.
When Shelton plays without screaming and jumping every point he wins, like he did in the second and the third, he is almost unbeatable
