Ben truly deserves it, think he really realized his potential after that US open run. Glad to see him win his first of hopefully many titles. Love me a lefty

Karatsev really doesn’t fight a lot when he’s down. He basically stopped playing in the second set. Congrats to the new star Shelton though!

I feel like he seems more mature in his game now. Less celebration and more focus and consistent points instead of just trying to finish every point quickly. He’s doing amazing!

So happy for Ben, such a talented young player. Those 3 forehands down the line basically shut the door in this match. Many more titles to come for Ben.

Ben Shelton’s first of many titles to come and soon in the Top 10. Great serving and volleying. He just turned 21 on October 9th and on Monday he’ll be ranked a career high No. 14. Next year I see him joining other youngsters in the Top 5: Alcaraz, Sinner & Rune. Shelton was ranked No. 96 at the end of 2022. Next week in Vienna Shelton will face Sinner in the first round after beating Sinner last week. It doesn’t get any better than that! The winner will probably face Rublev in the semifinals and Medvedev in the final.

Go, go, go Benny Sheltz! Always believed in this kid, even before the US Open. Huge talent! Skipped the ATP 250, straight to the ATP 500 and GS Semis. Next year Masters and GS! The star is born! Congrats Big Ben! Never change! We love your energy on court! Tennis is never boring with ya, you make tennis even more interesting! 😎👏💪❤

He just won himself a fan. Honestly one of the cleanest hitters of the ball I have seen in a long time. The whip on that forehand reminds me a lot of Federer, as does his general feel for the game.

Impressive player fun to watch. Love his forehand style that remind me with Rafa. Hope he will continue

So amazing that it was in his final he won so easily yet the other matches, he had to work extra hard. Super locked in!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Congrats Ben!!!

love that shelton didn’t scream his head off after every point. he won with grace and dignity – his game so big it speaks loud enough for itself. also love his determination to get to the net – rare in today’s game. his volleying could be better but that’ll come with experience if he keeps going forward.

When everyone was doubting him, I knew he had the talent. So happy for him. The future of tennis with Alcaraz, Shelton, Sinner, and Fils will have a positive impact on the average persons desire to want to watch tennis. This is the real next gen.

I liked this guy the first day he showed up on tour. Genuine smile, genuine personality, genuine talent and always a treat to watch play. He joins the list of players I especially like watching for their talent and creative play; Alcaraz, Kyrgios, Sinner, Monfils, Wawrinka, Medvedev, Korda, Fognini.

Very happy for Ben! He played great this whole tournament and it was a deserved win. On another note I’m shocked Karatsev broke his racket. Not often he lets out his emotions.

Tremendous tennis from Shelton. Anyone that is a fan of him and seen him play knew his potential. He proved it in many ways in this tournament. Congratulations to him.

Goddamn Shelton improved a lot this year, compare his baseline rallying now to what it was at the Australian open, his forehand is now a weapon with a lot of variety and is consistent even when he chooses to apply pace, which he does a lot better then a lot of the tour. His backhand is no longer a pronounced weakness, he plays with so much intelligence during rallies, varying his topspin and the timing of when he chooses the shots he chooses continues to impress. His doubles experience has had a noticeable impact on his volleying. I hope he continues to get better because he still lacks the “it” factor that I see in players who are destined for the HOF but only time will tell
