Bad luck for Dimitrov that he had to run into Medvedev as soon as R16, but on the other hand I have to say it´s been a long time since I´ve seen Dimitrov constantly play so well as in this season. He´s in promising form for 2024.
I dont care if Dimi lost this match. That zip and energy and that movement has been missing since 2017. Please Dimitrov continue to play this well, results will flow. What a joy to watch single handed backhand in action. As for Medi, he is the Mr. consistent. Always finding the way to beat his opponents. Once djokovic retires, I see him with multiple slams!!

I wanted to watch more of Dimi’s beautiful tennis but the human wall won again today. Hope he can keep his form into 2024… he’s been so unlucky with his draws and his ranking has gone nowhere close to his level.

I’m here to thank ATP for the amazing “lucky draws” Dimitrov is always getting. From Zverev 1R to Medvedev, Carlito, Sinner 2R! And he js a top 20 player! Absolutely disgusted with his luck! And look at his form, not a title yet Bublik and Monfils got one last week! Truly furious!!!!!
What I love about watching a Med vs. Demi match is there’s a minimum of fist pumping, “C’mon!!” shouting, and racket smashing. Just two highly skilled players who show each other respect and give it their all.

I’m so keen to see Dimitrov find the super sayan mode we all know is in him. But before that’s possible, he’s got to sort out that drive backhand, starting with a comfort he’ll need to feel in trading from the back with it (instead of avoiding it with slice) and ending with an excitement he’ll need to feel when seeing an opportunity to attack with it in flattening the higher ones. Federer 2017, basically. Only then will his full potential will be released.
