A no aflojarleee!!!

Wasn’t expecting Safiullin to beat Alcaraz in straight sets like this; Carlos just looked completely lost on the court today. His level also seems to have taken a dip ever since he won Wimbledon this year

Gotta say I thought Safiullin would pull it off. Carlos on indoor hardcourts just isn’t the same beast, very much like Nadal.

this tournament is fantastic so far- full stands every day , no stupid rain delays, no wind , no nothing , only thing that missing is automatic hawk eye , I mean no line judges

All those people laughed at Sinner’s Wimbledon draw when he got Safiulin in the quarterfinals. Roman has definitely proved that wasn’t a fluke.

Wow! Kudos to Safiulin! This, actually shows that there are many players out there who, even thought they are not in the top 10, can beat those who are in top 10, when they play at their top level.
Wow! ®️✔️👏👍

I have never seen Vamositos playing so bad , he was just absent from the match, it’s true that Roman played great but still…

Safiullin great player, from baseline and at net. Improved so much recently, will be tough player for everyone. Greetings from Rome Italy

That’s why it is the last 1000 of the year! Great matches out there, specially bearing in mind they all were first rounds 👏🏼👏🏼

Safiullin’s success is no accident. Roman is finally starting to climb to the top, which is possible due to his great potential. He definitely can confidently keep in the top 25 and even more. Safu is less and less bothered by injuries and that’s great, as he’s been struggling with them since winning the Junior AO.

Way to go Roman! ❤️

I will add a little bit on Rublev at the same time, when it comes to my compatriots. Andrei, for some reason, doesn’t use drop shots so often, although he has clearly improved them in the last year. I’ve only seen this at tournaments in Rome, Monte Carlo and now.
I think that if Andrey improves his skill in using them and uses them more often, Rublo will become an even more dangerous player, which he already is.

Way to go, guys! 🇷🇺

That’s what happens when Novak is in your head literally all the time. Instead of focusing on each match, Carlitos is busy thinking about no:1.

Even in the first set, it was obvious that Manfil was struggling or at least not his best, with foot work and hitting the ball clean and with conviction. We all have bad days, it is part of life.

What a tank job from Fokina today. Sometimes I wonder if he really likes this sport.
And hopefully Carlos ll be back soon. He is a mere human after all😊

I hope everyone understands that tall players benefit hugely from playing on hard court, at least on two winning sets. Previous winners this year on hard courts: Hurkacz, Bublik, Monfils, Sinner, Shelton, all above 193cm, except Sinner 188cm

Great to see the guys so passionate about winning. The money is good but winning is the main goal. There is so much talent these days its great to watch.
