Zverev continues to impress after his return. It is actually surreal that he has managed to, first of all reach the atp finals after such a devastating injury and then beat carlos.

Severely injured, Zerev came back strong and quickly reclaimed his position in the top 10. Impressive victory after this horrible fall.

que retorno increible de Zverev…. a Alcaraz, ya lo van conociendo mas… cada vez le cuesta ganarle a los buenos.

Carlos will bounce back, he is still young and has time to get his focus back.
Zverev played outstanding tennis, and deserves the game!

Damn that shot in the last game deserved the win. Match of small margins. Same with the ball Alcaraz left that clipped the line. But Zverev recovery from his injury has been nothing short of remarkable.

Funny how someone watching this would think Alcaraz is a much better player considering about 75% of the highlights are points he wins.

novak leads the new generation to high levels of elite tennis , despite their young age .when you see them playing ,you see novak in their movements ,strikes, and even their tactics. the fact that novakis a legend is known only after the years have passed

I’m not surprised whatsoever. First of all it was a battle between players in horrible momentum however Zverev is on his “realm” (indoors) Alcaraz still to show something indoors I thought this faster court would help him but his decision making is junior level and hitting dozens awful unforced yet. Alcaraz better than in asian swing but still miles far from his peak on season, Zverev improvements began in Paris his best high-level tour since USO.

Fantastic play by both players. The level is so high over past generations. Surprised that Novak is still able to hold off the onslaught by these young talents.

I am actually so proud of zverev coming back so strong after the injury and some though losses against Safiullin and thompson for example. But you cant say Carlos isnt the same after Djok loss like he still plays awesome but what do you want to do against a 1st serve rate of 93% and only 5 UE like that was hella crazyy.

Впечатляющий матч, Зверев подает надежды, но с лодыжкой нужно быть аккуратнее

A non-technical note but one that pleasantly surprised me. Seeing Alcaraz who, after losing, goes to the net to greet his opponent with a genuine and beautiful smile. Chapeau!

So many sets played in two days (including tiebreaks), such an incredible level at this year’s masters! Except for Tsitsipas

I LOVE that Zverev is back in form. It must’ve been really tough to start trusting that foot/ankle again – I can still hear the moment that injury happened for him and I was a little worried about the nature of that tumble he took during the match. Stayed strong though!

Man was giving out points like candy with the dropshots that landed about 10% of the time. Well done zverev

Great play by Zverev, who is finding back the form he had before his devastating injury…n Alcaraz is learning just how tough it is to retain his form in the face of stiff opposition!

Alcaraz lost and he’s probably hurting inside, but he continues to demonstrate great sportsmanship and respect for his fellow professionals, and that’s the sign of a cool guy!

Alcaraz is a talented young player who was overly hyped by the media and tennis experts. He came firing on all cylinders, beating top players that caught most players off guard but Now that the other players are able to analyze his game and his weaknesses, players have been beating him left and right and he seems to have lost confidence. It takes a lot of years to develop character and consistency in the game, thus the glory days of the Big 3 (or Big 4). Many next gens, young gens were also hyped and touted as the next heir apparent No. 1 but no one was able to get that consistent winning streaks to be even considered as in the same league as the Big 3.

Great to see Alcaraz so humble in defeat. What a role model for someone so young.
