It’s funny how Sinner has slowly crept to the top of the (new) players during the year, eclipsing even Alcaraz. To his credit, when Alcaraz was riding the wave and they asked who he deemed a real threat he said it was Sinner.

Sinner was showing a new level in the last few months, and I thought he would be a threat to everyone. He delivered. As Novak said, he will be hard to stop.

I think it’s time for sinner to win his first grand slam. So much improvement since Wimbledon, he reaches another level right now .

No big talks, no promises about winning the tournament but standing and performing – Sinner all the way!! What an exceptional win.

Djokovic is always being hunted, while constantly doing the hunting himself, mightily successfully. Sinner just hunted him down with amazing tennis, devastating offence, and brilliant defence. Congrats Jannik, you are a beast!!!

What I appreciate most about Jannik is his humility and quiet demeanour. The way he reacted when he won the match – classy and respectful. 🎉❤

It had to happen sometime. Sinner was rampant and I had the impression that Novak knew this was not going to be his day. You can’t win em all and Novak knows that.

Very, very impressive performance by Sinner. Because every time Nole – who really played at his best today – came back from a deficit, Jannik, instead of succumbing, was able to even raise his game. Like I said before, it seems Sinner is taking the next step of his career in this season, beating top players he had never been beating before – Medvedev and Djokovic – in important tournaments and matches. Congrats, Jannik!

This kid is surely next level. Future world number one, he always had the power and a frankly the most stunning two handed backhand in the world, now, maturing and with a growing court IQ I think Sinner is unstoppable. Forza Jannik!

As a Djokovic fan, i’m glad Sinner was the one to beat him. Surely they will meet again in the final.

Jannik has become my favorite player in these last months! The consistency and his intelligence and calm are those of a true champion.

This is another reason why I have huge respect for the humility and modesty of Sinner; when asked about the pressure of the match, Sinner responded “My pressure [as a player] is nothing compared to that of a surgeon or someone who has to put dinner on the table for their family. That’s real pressure – not knowing if a rocket will hit your home in five hours or five days. Playing tennis is something to feel honored about”

My man Sinner chasing those lines to millimiter accuracy, his play was just perfection! Even Djoko couldn’t handle it.

A match with such a small margin of errors. Fantastic by both players. I wanted Novak to win but all credit to Sinner. He played absolutely brilliantly. He is actually improving more than any other younger player.
And Novak. Man dude at 36 is just incredible. If anyone who didn’t know tennis watched this, they wouldn’t believe he was 36. Absolute GOAT.

Congrats to Sinner on a fantastic match! He’s come a long way this year and improved so much. As Djokovic said, “it was fully deserved because he was more decisive and aggressive in pressure points.”
However, if anyone will learn from a loss, it’s Djokovic! Should they meet in the Finals after RR play, I’d still bet my money on Djokovic!
