Alcaraz’s intuition, predictive ability, and raw speed are a wonder to watch. His movement to the net are dynamic and explosive, and his outright volleying skill is beyond his years. I’m seeing some of the same qualities in Sinner. The future is bright and exciting for men’s tennis.

Medvedev wouldn’t choose to lose, but he said at USO he needed to play 110% to beat Alcaraz. He did and then lost to Djokovic at final. At today’s match, he didn’t need to stretch his limit to secure a win. Whereas Alcaraz can’t afford to be eliminated from the best four of men’s tennis. Even if Medvedev played at his 120%, he could still lose to Alcaraz today, he didn’t have a motivation to dig so deep

I love watching Medvedev because of the rallies, and I love watching Alcaraz because of his style. What a match!

lowkey.

and again im here very impressed with alcaraz how fast he adapts to a surface he is not familiar with .. he did it on grass now on the fastest hard court .. and not over time literally after 1 game .. what a difference if you compare it to the zverev game and today .. what a phenomenon

The key to the match was Alcaraz’s serve. We all know he can break his opponents, but sometimes his serve lets him down. Not today:
73% first serves / 76% behind 1st, 67% behind second / 2 or 2 break points saved / 196kmh and 163kmh speeds (his average for the season is 187 / 158!!)
1. It’s on par with Rune’s season average (195/164)
2 And it is a bit higher than Sinner’s (195 / 154).

The most dynamic player on tour right now. His game is electric. I feel like the others are more or less consistent baseliners with similar game styles. Alcaraz keeps you entertained and in awe. All the best to him

When Alcaraz is feeling it, it’s pure magic, even when Medvedev plays awesome tennis against it. Great match. Hats off to both players.

This version of Alcaraz is what we love and won him two slams – fast, powerful, fearless. For some reason, his mind was cluttered with the year end No.1 ranking scenario and that was affecting his performances. With that out of the mind, he seems to be regaining the mojo.

This was the best performance of Alcaraz after the Wimbledon this year. I hope he can consistently play this good in the coming matches.
