Hurcacz snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. Yet again.
It’s really nice to see Zverev control his anger, the way you see him stopping himself from smashing the racquet, that would not have been the case with the Zverev of a few years back. The number of close matches Hubi has had is insane. Kudos to both of them.
It was the most formidable encounter that I have watched by now during 2024 season. There was almost everything in this gruelling showdown. It should definitely be watched by each tennis aficionado. What a fabulous comeback from Alexander Zverev. Although he was under oppression and confronting with the MPs against Hurkacz, he has demonstrated a more valiant, gallant and tenacious performance than Polish tennis player in order to overpower his adversary within this stage.
This match was between so different yet similar. Tall, Big servers, Strong backhands combined with Zverev’s baseline plays, Hubi’s net attacks, it was grueling. At the end it was like a mind game.
Zverev been carrying this tournament, good to see him in great form. I’m still hoping he can nab a slam one day

This is insane!! Loses a 2.5 hour thriller against Demon, then backs up for the mixed doubles in another thriller 7-6, 6-7, 15-13, to put Germany in the final, finishes about 2.30am, doesn’t get to bed till 6am. Then in the evening plays the final against Hubi, comes back from behind in yet ANOTHER thriller that goes for 3 hours and tie-breaks in the first 2 sets, to keep Germany alive, and is now playing AGAIN!! in the mixed doubles final to decide the United Cup. He deserves all the love. This United Cup has been delivering!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Zverev is the MVP of United Cup. He is the reason Germany reached the final and is still alive. He won the men’s singles match (6-7 7-6 6-4) after 3 hours, so mixed doubles is starting shortly. Poland is expected to win.
Big win for Zverev, looks like he does a little more with his forehand, go on with this!

No coz, szczerze Hubert zagrał całkiem dobry mecz, tylko Zverev zagrał swietny punkt na piłki meczowej przy serwisie hurkacza, I po tym wszystko sie zjebało. Mam nadzieje ze bedzie miał udany turniej w melbourne,bo wyraznie widac jak jego gra rosła w ostatnich miesacach, szczegolnie forehand. Niech ten sezon bedzie udany 💪🇵🇱

GERMANY WINS!!! Zverev was a true Olympian the ENTIRE tournament. He played his heart out in singles to keep Germany alive & then was incredibly clutch with Siegumund in the SF & F rounds. They deserved it. What an incredible performance!
