Casper did really well for the first half of the first set. He just can’t crumble like he did in the second half. He very suddenly started shanking a bunch of balls and spraying unforced errors. Hopefully he can figure that out simply because I want him to win 😌

Un gran partido qué no parecia de exhibicion. Carlitos parece qué vuelve a tener confianza y hace su tenis, con independencia, sin esperar las instrucciones de su equito. Fenomenal.
Nos espera un grandioso GS.
Vamos Carlitos.
Vamos Casper. Guapos!!
Mucha suerte 💪 .

30:43 I dont remember caspar ruud hitting this hard, hes truly trying a new game and i like it. he felt lobotomized at times the last year. this FOR SURE is NOT a ball machine.

Just got back from this game live. Huge Casper fan great to see him.
He’s gonna have to tighten up his service game a fair bit before going into the AO, threw quite a few service games this match. Hopefully he finds his rhythm more. Keen for it.

RUUD played well but not nearly well enough to beat ALCARAZ who was excellent. I also enjoyed their sportsmanship and good manners.

ONLY a few players have the footwork, to play down the line after 2 or 3 rally cross court, as playing cross court hard drive always leave the forehand side open…………that makes at least 5 point difference in each set.

What the hell, Ruud now has incorporated the forehand of Nadal and the service of Kyrgios.

Edit: What is going on?
