Glad to see Fritz improving mentally so much in the past few years. Hope he can be competitive against Djokovic.

Good to see Taylor go through
to the Quarterfinals. Unfortunately
I don’t see him beating Novak but
I am hoping for a competitive game

It was a great match to watch. Fritz was confident that he would be beat Stefanos again and he did. I stated yesterday that Stefanos needed his 1st serve and needed to come to the net in order to get the win. Although he had 12 aces in the match, serving at 63% first serve% will not do it against players like Fritz. He is a great returner of serve and he won the majority of points when Tsitsipas gave him a 2nd serve. Stefanos once again did not attack the net as often as he should have and he paid the price. He underestimated the power of Fritz’s groundstrokes on both sides. I am a huge Tsitsipas fan and support him always, but I have predicting for some time now that he is travelling on a slippery downward slope. We see players like Fritz, Zverev, Sinner and Rublev constantly improving and really coming out with specific game plans when they are playing specific opponents. Stefanos needs to start doing the same. He has become too stagnant and the reluctance to do something other than depend on his game has cost him dearly. He needs to strategize more, study his opponents better and really explore their weaknesses as they have done with him. My past prediction is that Tsitsipas will not make it past the 4th round of any major this year and fall out of the top 10. As a devoted fan, I really hope I am wrong, but so far the stats and odds are favoring me being right 😔

This loss may be good for Stef to finally do something instead of being complacent with himself. Hopefully he can do well like Meddy last year

Man Taylor’s movement has improved dramatically from his early years on tour. I’m hoping for at least a set against Djokovic; let’s go!!

Tsitsipas does not have the talent to make it deep in Slam tournaments, but he and his father do not seem to realize it. Congratulations to Fritz!

Fritz must have one of the best racquet speeds on tour! Whipping that forehand stroke looks so good. I wonder if it means racquet is too light though, and if that creates problems

Stefanos is the kind of player who thinks of himself as an amazingly talented player who should be winning slams. Unfortunatelly for him, he is actually much closer to being a very average top 30 player. I rejoice every time I see him fail, for arrogance like his should always backfire.

Marvellous….Taylor Fritz, I like to see younger gen. such as Taylor Fritz (USA), Jannik Sinner (Italy) wish them stepping further & further here in AO

If Fritz is able to pull off a set from djoker I would call it an achievement, the level at which Djokovic is playing right now is miles ahead of the competition. The only player who can present a challenge to him could be sinner, other than that it should be a walk in the park for Djokovic.
