TennisTV so quick with the highlights the match literally finished 10 minutes ago 😂 (not that I’m complaining)

Probably two of the most improved players of the last 6 months. Alex deserves to be in that Top 10 and Sinner now No 3 although in reality he is No 1. Important for Sinner to manage his workload correctly this year so he isnt burnt out for the big events but still takes advantage of the great form he’s in.

He is starting to do what Djokovic does… raising his level in semi and finals. The journey to n.1 has begun. Alé Jannik!!!

Despite the loss De Minaur is an absolute animal, massive respect to him I believe he will go on to become successful this year.

I’m truly impressed by De Minuar’s quality, as well as the growing poise and maturity he’s demonstrated over the last year or so. He deserves absolutely to be in the top 10 and is a model to young players.

Sinner is already a much improved player and has all the weapons now. It’s so great to actually see de minaur working so hard on his game. The mere fact that he challenged sinner from the baseline and even hit bigger than him sometimes is astounding. At this rate, alex can crack the top 5. He has the all court game and he is getting some power in his strokes. He can play topspin and flat, hit volleys, defend insanely well and can be ultra aggressive. He probably only needs to improve his serve. High quality points.

Mental maturity and extremely hard work have brought Sinner where he is today. Forza Trentino !!!

I wouldn’t have been surprised if either had won, there wasn’t much in it at all. Congrats to Sinner for making Italian tennis history.

Sinner has been playing the best tennis on the planet the last two months. Looks like a machine out there. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ends up having a better career than Carlos. He let’s the game come to him and is so much more relaxed. He is mentally perfect for the sport.

Again I reiterate, there’s a reason Sinner is a grand slam champion. He was way below his best today but still managed to find a way. This is what champions do, they know when to raise the level and shut the door. Sinner did exactly the same thing today, he raised his level at the clutch moments. You cant win every game or every point but you need to win the most important points. Tennis is an individual sport where mental fortitude plays an highly important role. Sinner failed to serve out the first set but immediately broke back. 90% of the players would have collapsed after that game and lost the set. I have been following him ever since he won his first future title in January 2018. But, take nothing away from De Minaur he pushed sinner , probably his best performance against Sinner till date. Sinner just way too mature mentally. In the second Sinner failed to consolidate the break of serve and it was 3-3. But the first point of the 7th game where Sinner did a stretched backhand pass to start the game ,that was awesome and De Minaur just faded after that because his reaction towards his box suggested that theres nothing more he can do..Jannik Sinner – what a player , what a talent. Thank you for saving tennis’s future…

How wonderful to watch two gentlemen of the game play without grunting during every shot or bitching and moaning about everything that doesn’t go their way. I doth my hat to you both! 🎩🧐

The final score does not bring justice to De Minaur, he was very close all the time, but Sinner prevailed by playing better the key points.

I watched the match in the stadium. T.b.h. I was caught by surprise about the level of Alex. Anonymous player to me sofar but damn, I’m a fan right now. Footwork out of this world, but still not enough to beat Sinner. Both delivered class speeches at the ceremony. True gentlemen they are!
