So happy so see Shapo winning again and displaying beatiful shots. A bit sad to see he didn´t evolve his gameplan a single bit lol, but a win is a win 😀

So, you’re trying to tell me that this Blanch kid is not Shelton’s long lost younger brother? They look similar, and even their forehand form is similar wtf hahaha

Bro thinks he can write “Blanch” on the screen and we won’t recognise Ben Shelton lmao :’)

Two questions for you guys:
1) Is Blanch the alter-ego of Ben Shelton?
2) What’s this new graphic on the tie-breaks? I can’t understand it😂

Decent first ATP game for 16-year old Darwin Blanch, who people are rushing to dub “mini-Shelton”. He’s actually only one inch shorter than Ben, so he’s a rather tall “mini”… He did very well to keep with Machac in the first set (1034 ATP vs 60 ATP after all), but was let down by the usual streak of unforced errors plaguing all these players that hit the ball as hard as possible, but can’t quite control it. He did manage to successfully hit a rather spectacular 100 mph forehand winner in the second set, somehow not in the highlights. Whoever could do that at 16, maybe Alcaraz and/or Sinner? Like Ben, lots of potential, but Darwin’s game is probably where Ben’s game was at 18-19 (minus the massive serve), so he might climb up the rankings a lot earlier than Ben.

Machac really starts resembling “Mecir” both with look, movement and cool playing style!!! 😊💪

Good stuff Murray. Having more matches recently may have been the difference here. I know many think he should have retired by now, but we’re all going to miss his style of play in the coming years as many of the current crop play very similarly. Few players can neutralise a point like Murray can from a losing position.

Shapo winning is always good to see, he’s got so much game it’s about time things started clicking again. Murray winning is also a pleasent surprise, not expecting much from him nowadays. But man has Fills not lived up to his own hype, less with the cocky attitude and more with the hard work is what gets it done in the end…..

@lotus630

Shapo watches tennis tv
so he’s heard the commentators and read the comments and is very well aware that almost everyone attributes his losses to playing too high risk
yet he plays the same
